Arsenal’s Gabriel Jesus asked for help on X.

Arsenal player Gabriel Jesus turned to X (formerly Twitter) to ask for help over an allegedly unfair ban on his Steam account. The Brazilian posted a screenshot of his banned profile. On January 31, he revealed that his account has now been unbanned.

VAC and Game Ban

A VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) ban is applied If a player is caught using cheats on their computer. Gabriel Jesus' profile indicates that he received a Game Ban. This is slightly different.

Basically, according to Steam support, "Game Bans are used by game developers to address malicious behaviour that falls outside of VAC detection. Game bans are determined by the game developer; they can range from single-day bans to permanent bans."

Valve's ban wave has marked the beginning of the year, resulting in several VAC bans. Additionally, Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa and Aurimas "Bymas" Pipiras were professional players previously hit. The reason for Gabriel Jesus' ban is not yet clear.

Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus ban hits inventory

The ban on Arsenal's Gabriel Jesus' profile prevents the player from moving and accessing his inventory. The striker's inventory is worth close to $38,000 according to skin specialist website Princempire.

Among the various skins, the AWP Gungnir (Factory New), AWP Dragon Lore (Factory New) and AK-47 Wild Lotus (Minimal Wear) stand out.

Arsenal, CS2 and community reaction

Although, Gabriel Jesus is not the only Arsenal player who enjoys Counter-Strike. Instead, Oleksandr Zinchenko has a CS2 esports organization. The player has even participated in an official match due to the team's needs.

Meanwhile, the Counter-Strike community did not fail to react to the VAC ban of Gabriel Jesus from Arsenal. Counter-Strike legend and now inactive, Olof "olofmeister" Kajbjer appealed to the game's official profile to help the player.

Voted streamer of the year at the HLTV Awards 2023, Ohnepixel took the opportunity to praise Gabriel Jesus' M4A1-S skin.

Time will tell if Steam overturn the Arsenal star's ban following his outcry for help.
