A disappointing end.
ENCE and Apeks have been eliminated from the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Opening Stage.
Gla1ve and Co. were just another hurdle for FURIA to make their way to the final matchups before the Elimination Stage. The same goes for coldzera’s Legacy squad. Apeks were no match for Legacy, leading to their elimination from the Major.

ENCE
After a stellar IEM Katowice 2024 performance, ENCE has been hyped as a potential threat for certain teams. Gla1ve and the gang's endeavors since then have been less than exciting, barring their Astralis matchup in the RMRs.
A close match against Imperial left ENCE on the ropes immediately. Following their initial loss against Imperial, the rest of the Brazilian squads came to take their shots. ENCE’s overtime victory against KOI wasn’t enough to bring them back into the running. PaiN came in to decimate ENCE, beating them swiftly with a 13-3 scoreline.
Their final encounter against FURIA was almost as swift. FURIA managed to take down ENCE in two maps, with the Polish and Danish hybrid squad failing to get to double-digit rounds on both maps.
This marks the end of ENCE’s Major run.

Apeks
Apeks came into this tournament with the added pressure from their performance at the Paris Major last year. They surpassed expectations in their prior endeavors but failed to leave a mark this year.
There are a lot of parallels with ENCE and Apeks in their Major runs. Both squads fell at the hands of three Brazilian sides and even managed to scrape through one encounter against a lower-tiered opponent through an overtime victory—that being their 16-13 result against AMKAL. Imperial, paiN, and Legacy proved to be the thorn in Apeks’ side, with Legacy delivering the final blow.
Legacy managed to walk all over Apeks. The international squad only amounted to seven rounds on both maps. Unfortunately, this means Apeks has not made it through to the Elimination Stage of the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024.
