The legendary player left ENCE and made a great shift in his career. Lukas “gla1ve” Rossander is a head coach in 100 Thieves! He has at least one star player in the active roster: Håvard “rain” Nygaard.

The return of 100 Thieves to Counter-Strike feels like an epic event, the dawn of a new era. At least, the organization cooks its presence in CS2 esports this way. First, 100 Thieves stole rain from FaZe. Now, gla1ve joins 100T as a head coach.

The era of Astralis in Counter-Strike was absolutely exceptional. We can name the numbers: four Major titles, with three wins in a row. Beyond that, there was a mighty emotional experience of following the matches of that roster!

Lukas "gla1ve" Rossander was a key person in that success. As an in-game leader (IGL), gla1ve is recognized as a moving force and even a mastermind for Astralis — his frags and information were crucial.

After leaving Astralis in 2023, gla1ve joined ENCE. It was a totally different team that battled Astralis in the grand final of the IEM Katowice Major 2019.

ENCE with gla1ve as the IGL competed mainly in lower-tier tournaments. Throughout this period, gla1ve regularly addressed the problem of cheating in B-tier CS2 esports.

Gla1ve announced his retirement as a Counter-Strike player in late November. He revealed his next step: a head coach position. The contract with 100 Thieves was probably settled at that point.

This move feels brilliant for everyone. 100 Thieves gets an exceptionally talented person who knows the game deeply and has fresh experience in CS2. For gla1ve, it’s a chance to reach new goals in his career. Fans and the community in general have a promise of another strong team on the top-level esports scene, which is always exciting.

Håvard "rain" Nygaard as an IGL in CS2 100 Thieves

This contract was revealed a bit earlier, but it remains a stunning step for rain. This player had his roots deeply in FaZe, and then rain left this organization and agreed to join a fresh team.

It’s also a new role for rain, as he becomes an IGL. The lessons from Finn "karrigan" Andersen can be helpful!

Having gla1ve as a head coach should feel great for rain.

100 Thieves Roobet is back to Counter-Strike

The organization announced its return to Counter-Strike esports in November 2025. 100 Thieves signed a partnership deal with Roobet for this.

It’s certainly great to see how esports betting sites support CS2 with direct sponsorship for teams. As another quick example, Thunderpick even has its World Championship.

100 Thieves Roobet is an American organization, so we’ll probably see the new team competing in North America as a CS2 esports region. With such a basis as gla1ve and rain, 100 Thieves has good chances to be present at big international events. We still need to wait for other roster announcements.
