Gem Quest is a new event in Cookie Run Kingdom (CRK) where you build the best teams to mine ores for rewards. However, it’s not all just about excavation. This minigame also has its own upgrade system that can improve your mining operation. You also won’t have access to most cookies at the start. You will have to work your way into unlocking all the available ones.
That said, here is a guide on the best teams and Combi you can form for the Gem Quest event in Cookie Run Kingdom.
Best teams for Cookie Run Kingdom gem quest for every season
The Gem Quest has a total of 4 seasons based on the locked content in the perk tree. This means there might be more cookies appearing in the coming season. Cookies also have their own synergies called “combi” with each other. This means you need to consider their combos when building an excavation team.
Below, you can find our recommended team compositions to get the most out of your mining operations:
Gem Quest Season 1 team and combi
The best team you can build for the first season is Black Sapphire Cookie, Candy Apple Cookie, Shadow Milk Cookie, GingerBrave, and Pure Vanilla Cookie. Here is a quick rundown of their respective Combi effects.

The Deceit squad is the perfect team for Season 1 of Gem Quest in CRK. They have a high chance to activate their Combi effect, making them quite consistent in mining ores. The only problem is, most of them can only be unlocked at later stages. You will need to keep mining to earn enough resources to progress in your perk tree.
Unfortunately, this team composition does not include a Combi with Pure Vanilla Cookie. However, his Laser ability is quite powerful and can easily break multiple ores in a straight line.
