MAAC Fall Season Esports Competition

The Fall Season begins on October 4th and lasts until December 9th. While Super Smash Bros. and Rocket League have been in MAAC esports for three years, the MAAC schools will see a new title in the pool, Valorant.

The esports competition involves 11 member schools which include: Canisius College, Fairfield University, Iona University, Manhattan College, Marist College, Mount St. Mary’s University, Niagara University, Quinnipiac University, Rider University, Saint Peter’s University and Siena College.

The schedule for the Fall Season MAAC Esports Competition is as follows:

  • Rocket League: Wednesday nights
  • Valorant: Friday nights

Schools are free to compete between the matchup window of 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM ET, but the default start time is at 7:00 PM ET.

The esports competition format follows a round-robin style in which each team will play a new school each week. There will also be a ‘makeup week’ in the schedule to provide room for rescheduled matches. The competition will be operated through eFuse’s eRena platform, which has hosted tons of scholastic events, high-profile influencers, content creators and brands.

The streaming schedule and where you can watch the broadcasts will be revealed at a later date. You can keep an eye on MAAC socials to stay updated!

When does the MAAC Spring Season Esports competition start?

After the Fall Season ends in early December, the Spring Season begins in mid-January. The esports competition in Spring will feature a slightly different set of games; Overwatch, League of Legends, and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate.
