Developers from EA Sports, in partnership with PlayStation and Nissan, have announced the first-ever official College Football 25 tournament. It features a whopping $25,000 prize pool. This will pit the top players from across the country against one another through open qualifiers with a live championship bout. Thanks to a big partnership with Nissan, EA Sports is launching a new Nissan Heisman House Challenge, giving players the opportunity to compete for a share of $25,000 and a 2025 Nissan Kicks. PlayStation Tournaments is the hosting entity for the event, meaning that all competing players must participate on a PlayStation 5.
It all kicks off with the Open Qualifiers, which are set to run from Oct. 30 to Nov. 23, with the championship wrapping up in December in Burbank, California.
According to the official announcement page of the tournament, "Players who compete in the open qualifier can earn PSN Credit and an invite to the Closed Qualifiers. The top 4 finishers in the Closed Qualifiers will win cash and a trip to the in-person Championship. The top 4 finalists will face off in Burbank, California on December 11. Fans can tune in to watch the Live Finals of the College Football 25 Heisman House Challenge on EA SPORTS Twitch and YouTube."
