All you need to know about the COD Mobile 2026 roadmap

Road to COD Mobile World Championship 2026
The highlight of the 2026 season is the return of the COD Mobile World Championship. The event will run from May to November 2026 across five stages. Teams from the SMP regions will begin their journey locally. They will have to compete to advance through regional qualifiers.
- Stage 1: Local Solo Qualifier – May 2026
- Stage 2: Local Team Qualifier – June 2026
- Stage 3: Garena Masters 11 – July 2026
- Stage 4: Garena’s Annual Regional Qualifier – August 2026
- Stage 5: World Championship Finals (Offline) – November 2026
Only two teams from SMP will secure spots at the offline COD Mobile World Championship 2026 Finals.
Regional and grassroots competitions
Beyond the world championship pathway, Garena’s 2026 calendar includes a strong mix of community and regional tournaments. The goal of these events is to keep competition active year-round.
Community Gladiators Season 1
COD Mobile Community Gladiators Season 1 is Garena’s flagship grassroots series. The tournament was held from Feb.1 to Feb. 28, where the crowned champions received the lion’s share of the $10,000 prize pool.
The event was held with accessible formats. This included 1v1 matches, duos, and team battles across both MP and BR modes. The approachable structure made it an ideal starting point for amateur players.
Grand Finals matches were streamed live at 6 p.m. GMT+8 on YouTube, with the following champions already crowned:
- MP Duo: Team Miss Her
- MP Team: Team Starboyz
- BR Duo and BR Squad finals closing out the month
Garena Masters 10
This event is exclusively on MP mode. The tournament is open to all SMP players and serves as a major stepping stone toward higher-level regional play. The event kicked off on Feb. 15 and will last until March 15. Teams will compete for a piece of the $40,000 prize pool.
Garena Elite Philippines (GEP)
Featuring both MP and BR competitions, COD Mobile GEP will culminate in a large-scale offline Grand Finals event in the Philippines. The tournament will kick off this April and last until May with a $40,000 prize pool.
Garena Summer Invitational (GSI) – Regional
COD Mobile GSI adds another high-stakes regional layer to the esports roadmap. This event gives top teams further exposure and experience before the international qualifiers. Similar to GEP, the GSI will kick off in April and last until May with a $60,000 prize pool.
Strengthening the COD Mobile scene in Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines
Building on strong performances in recent global qualifiers, Garena is doubling down on talent development across SMP.
One key initiative making a return in the Philippines is the monthly CODM Tayo events. This initiative is known for bringing together players, creators, and fans in local communities.
The program will expand in 2026 with the following:
- More frequent events
- Larger-scale activations
- New venues, including city-center malls
- Continued barangay-level community engagement
These gatherings serve as offline hubs where players can join mini-tournaments, participate in interactive in-game activities, and meet influencers, clans, and fellow community members. More announcements, including host cities and activities, will arrive in the coming months.
A growing focus on community-driven competition
Over the past few years, COD Mobile has steadily leaned into community-led events. This year’s esports roadmap provides a competitive space for players of all skill levels. This is to ensure that there will always be a space for gamers to clash through grassroots competitions across Southeast Asia (SEA).
On top of that, offline activities like watch parties and fan meetups have brought the community and its content creators closer together. In an era where many esports events remain fully digital, hybrid experiences help maintain real-world engagement. Cosplayer appearances and interactive segments transform tournaments into celebrations of the broader COD Mobile culture and not just the matches themselves.
