Stake’s huge jump from traditional sports to esports with Vitality

Stake surprised the world with recent moves in F1 and football, and now they have their sights set on one of the strongest CS2 teams in the world.

This year has been huge for Vitality's CS2 team, as they won seven out of the eight S-Tier tournaments they played before signing a multi-year partnership with Stake — the world's largest cryptocasino.

Despite the lack of information on how many years this partnership will last, Stake already has major sponsorship investments in Formula 1, MMA, and football. Now, with their first esports team signed, they are looking to start more collaborations between their stars.

The team posted a video announcement on their social media to show more about this partnership alongside their jersey change.

The video has received multiple positive reactions, even when Stake is infamous due to cryptocurrency's online reputation. Most users showed their appreciation for the video, despite not supporting the brand in most cases.

In the video, we can see some famous names already sponsored by Stake that could be part of Vitality's future content:

  • Max Holloway: Active MMA fighter who specializes in Muay Thai and has a very positive score on the featherweight division.
  • Anderson "Nenê" Luiz de Carvalho: He is the oldest player (44 years old) playing in the Brasileirão, Brazil's top-tier football league. He previously played for teams like Monaco, PSG, and West Ham United.
  • Nico Hülkenberg: German F1 driver who is currently racing for Sauber. This team is also fully sponsored by Kick, Stake's streaming platform.
  • Ed "Eddie" Craven: Stake and Kick's co-founder. He's currently the streaming platform's content creator and streams himself playing online casino.

When is Vitality and Stake's partnership starting?

Effective immediately, the Stake logo will now be part of every future jersey sold by the CS2 team. The logo is occupying the chest and shoulder area. Before the partnership, this area said "We are Team Vitality." You can still buy the old jersey as a tribute to the team's second major championship before it sells out.

As their press release states, the Stake-Vitality partnership will officially start at the IEM Masters Cologne 2025. A $1 million prize pool tournament with a LAN playoffs stage that kicks off on Aug. 1 at the LANXESS arena.

Now that Stake has officially entered the esports scene, they may look into other teams that can help them amplify their brand's message. To stay updated with more news about future partnerships, stay tuned to esports.gg!
