G2 Esports announced a new betting partnership with Winamax for League of Legends and Kings League Germany teams.
G2 Esports announced a multi-year partnership with Winamax as a new official betting partner. It will include both G2 League of Legends and Kings League Germany (G2 FC) teams. This partnership marks a historic milestone for regulated esports betting in Europe.
In 2026, Winamax became the first betting operator approved by Riot Games to sponsor teams in Europe. This will also set a new standard for how "regulated betting brands can responsibly engage with fans across the continent," G2 wrote in their official statement.
G2 x Winamax podcast
The G2 x Winamax collaboration will also debut a new weekly League of Legends podcast titled HopEUm. Streamers, pro players, and special guests from Europe will break down everything happening in the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC).
"We're incredibly excited to work with a truly pan-European partner who feels like a perfect fit for G2," stated Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2. "It means a lot to us to collaborate with a brand that shares that same European DNA."
G2's official X page has revealed that Trevor "Quickshot" Henry will be hosting the first episode of the podcast. He was a LEC caster from 2013 to 2023. The episode will also feature G2 co-streamers. "With the launch of HopEUm, we wanted to go beyond a classic partnership and create something that genuinely brings value to our fans and the wider community," the G2 CEO added.
There is still no information about the podcast's official release. G2 will announce it in the upcoming weeks. You will also see the new sponsor in the 2026 jerseys.
This was not the first betting collaboration by G2 Esports. The esports organization had already announced a multi-year partnership with Betpanda for the G2 Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) team in December 2025. Just like the Betpanda partnership, the team will roll out original content, organize community-focused initiatives, and create fan experiences.
