The first set of patch notes for the second weekend of the Battlefield 6 beta.
It's almost time for the second weekend of the Battlefield 6 open beta, and the developers are making some changes from the first weekend. Dice and EA took to social media to thank everyone who has played Battlefield 6 so far and released a blog post of patch notes that detail all of the new features coming to Battlefield 6 during the second beta weekend.
You can see the entire blog post on EA's website, but we have a summary of everything the post says in the guide below.
Battlefield 6 Beta Week 2 patch notes

The beta week 2 patch notes aren't too detailed, but they do offer a couple of key changes coming to Battlefield 6 multiplayer.
For starters, the headline of the patch notes is the new Custom Search option that's coming for all players. Custom Search is a condensed version of the classic Server Browser feature, and it allows players to narrow down their matchmaking to an exact map and mode.
So, for example, if you want to play Conquest on Liberation Peak (so you can snipe from the mountains), all you have to do is enter those preferences into the Custom Search feature that's available from the main menu. Then, you can matchmake, and the game will prioritize your choices when trying to find a match for you. This will, naturally, lead to longer wait times in between matches, but it's a decent way to ensure you get what you want when looking for a match.

The Server Browser feature isn't currently being tested in Battlefield 6, but the Custom Search can be seen as a bridge to that feature. Hopefully, we will see the Server Browser at the launch of Battlefield 6 in October.

Next up, the developers showcased all of the playlists coming for each day of the second beta weekend. You can see the playlists for each day below:
- Day 1, Thursday 14th
- Conquest
- Rush
- Attack & Defend (Breakthrough, Rush)
- Close Quarters; Fast-paced playlist on smaller maps (Domination, King of the Hill)
- Closed Weapons All-Out Warfare (Conquest, Breakthrough)
- Day 2, Friday 15th
- Conquest
- Squad Deathmatch
- Close Quarters; Fast-paced playlist on smaller maps (Domination, King of the Hill, Squad Deathmatch)
- All-Out Warfare; Epic battles across expansive maps (Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush)
- Closed Weapons All-Out Warfare (Conquest, Breakthrough)
- Day 3-4, Saturday 16th - Sunday 17th
- Conquest
- Close Quarters; Fast-paced playlist on smaller maps (Domination, King of the Hill, Squad Deathmatch).
- All-Out Warfare; Epic battles across expansive maps (Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush)
- Closed Weapons All-Out Warfare (Conquest, Breakthrough)
As you can see, Squad Deathmatch and Rush are the two new modes being added to the second weekend of the beta. EA has also stated that playlists are going to be more inclusive with maps and modes. This means that a mode like All-Out Warfare will now include three different modes (Conquest, Breakthrough, Rush). So, basically, you're now able to mix and match your modes to offer a little more variety.
That about does it for the second beta weekend patch notes in Battlefield 6. There was no mention of any bug fixes or weapon balancing yet, but we might see some updates on those areas after the beta has gone live at 4 am ET/1 am PT on Thursday, Aug. 14.
