Learn how to master the early game in Atelier Resleriana (2025). From gathering and shop upgrades to fairy recruitment and skill unlocks, here’s how to stay ahead.
Starting out in Atelier Resleriana can feel overwhelming. Shops need running, skills demand unlocking, and a whole squad of fairies waits for your attention. If you want to save time and avoid rookie mistakes, this guide lays out the essentials: how to earn Cole quickly, unlock the right recipes, and decide which skills are worth prioritizing first.
#Tip 1: Become a hoarder

Become a hoarder. Rias has an ability to increase Gathering resources, learn these passive skills as early as possible. More resources = more alchemy = more sales in the Mistletoe Miscellaneous Shop. The Cole from the sales can then be used to upgrade items and weapons (usually very costly), making up for your lack of points towards stats early on.
#Tip 2: Double Attack

Learn the bonus normal attack as quickly as possible. This means you will strike an enemy twice with a normal attack, with each hit granting you 5 AP. Now from one normal attack you will earn 10 AP, enough to cast your most basic skill. A third hit can be unlocked, but not until much further into the game.
#Tip 3: Unlocking Skills > Levelling Up

Prioritise unlocking characters' new skills first instead of wasting experience levelling up their basic ability. Not only will it make the game more fun - spamming just 1 skill for 8-10 hours will genuinely bore you to death - it also adds flexibility when it comes to elements.
For example, WIlbell's Phantom Sword has both Fire and Wind properties, making her double the threat when it comes to hitting enemies’ weaknesses. Likewise Rias' second skill Brilliant Cheer boosts target's SPD by 30% and Crit by 15%, which you can grant to your damage dealer, excellent for early boss fights.
Side note: Outside of HP, stats are not worth levelling early on. It's not until Chapter 5 that you face your first genuinely challenging boss fight.
#Tip 4: Mistletoe Miscellaneous Shop is worth it

Return to Hallfein regularly between Chapter 2 and 4 and grind in your Shop. Leveling up your Shop will help Hallfein flourish and new traders and shops will open up. These new traders offer recipes which can be bought and then mastered by visiting your Atelier. You’ll then have a huge array of items to make and more importantly…. To sell! Plus you’ll see the city thrive, Rias’ grandad is smiling down.
The Neutralizer items that look like potions (Blue, Red and Yellow) all fetch a good price early on and are very easy to make, craft as many as possible and sell them.
Morph the Blue Neutralizer to unlock the recipe for the Yellow Neutralizer. Selling Yellow Neutralizers can earn you thousands of Cole from one round. This will give you almost unlimited early resources to duplicate any good item you craft in the Atelier.

Don’t forget: upgraded items sell for even higher prices, especially if you link Gift Colors correctly. And if choosing what to stock feels like a drag, you can always let the system handle it with “Fairies’ Choice.” Just be careful... the auto-fill can sometimes include combat gear you’ve unequipped, and you don’t want to accidentally sell something valuable.
#Tip 5: Don’t just Block, Precision Guard!
Holding block only reduces damage, but waiting to block at the perfect moment - similar to a perfect parry in a Soulslike game - will perform what’s known as a Precision Guard.
While it doesn’t open your enemy for a free counter-hit, it instead stops the enemy from applying any debuffs (e.g. Paralysis or Sleep). These types of debuffs are very common in Atelier Resleriana battles, and will drag out the battles and burn through your healing items. So don’t just block, Precision Guard!
#Tip 6: Fairies are worth collecting

Recruit every single Fairy you see in the Dimensional Path. If given the option, always choose to Increase Fairy Frequency. If you max out on Fairies, prioritize which Fairy has a valuable Trait, as these can be passed on to your items once you hit Chapter 3 and Slade becomes relevant.
Plus the Mistletoe Miscellaneous Shop can employ up to 9 Fairies once you level up the shop, and you’ll need more staff! There are a total of 25 available Fairies for you to collect but you can only ever hire 20 at any one time.
Here are a few Fairies definitely look out for:
Fairy | Trait they can pass on in Synthesis |
---|---|
Chip | Attack Blessing - Boosts physical item power by 15% |
Pino | Critical Blessing - Boosts critical damage by 15% |
Popon | ATK-DEF Boost - Increase ATK and DEF by 15 |
Mee | Single Bonus - Increase Item power and recovery |
Kololo | Rare item - Increase sales price |
#Tip 7: Speed Matters
Very similar to Honkai Star Rail or Expedition 33, in a turn-based game having your turn sooner, matters a LOT. Early levels in Speed (SPD) mean your party can sometimes end up having two turns each before your enemy has lifted a finger. Doing this will speed up fights, get you loot quicker and let you move on with your life of exploring.
Be aware that Dexterity (DEX) has nothing to do with speed in Atelier Resleriana. DEX instead only impacts how well and effective consumables are.
#Tip 8: Dimensional Paths are your friend

The exit of each Dimensional Path level is easy to find but don’t rush to ascend. Explore all side rooms for Fairies, treasure chests or new resources. Remember you can also re-do completed Dimensional Paths or try the medium and hard difficulties.
Early on the Dimensional Paths are a goldmine for a variety of resources and to expand your Fairy squad. Ignore low level enemies, but 100% find and kill any Field Boss the game alerts you to.
#Tip 9: Interrupt to Heal
After Wilbell joins your party you will unlock the ability to “Interrupt”. This ability at first seems a bit pointless as the interrupting character can not attack or use skills, but wait.
Load up whichever character you’re not a fan of with healing items - for me that was Raze - and have him as your nominated healer. Whenever a character is low, interrupt to heal them with your back character. This avoids wasting a turn of your front line to cast heals so they can focus on more and more damage!
Conclusion
With these tips in mind, you’ll gather quicker, strike harder, and move through Atelier Resleriana’s early chapters with ease. Plus you will be rolling in Cole!
