If you've purchased Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land and have found it's not in your desired language, don't worry there is a way to change it. At least partially. There are options for text language selection, but be warned you will not be able to change the audio!

Can you change audio language in Atelier Yumia?
No, you can not change audio language in Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land. The RPG game can currently only be played with Japanese audio.
This may come as a shock to gamers outside of Japan, but the Atelier series has had no English dubbing for almost a decade, making it unlikely it will be added anytime soon.
Text language options
That said, you can change the text language to one of 10 languages. This will impact all game menus, chats and gameplay options. The current text language options available are:
- English
- French
- German
- Italian
- Spanish
- Russian
- Japanese
- Korean
- Chinese (Traditional)
- Chinese (Simplified)
How to change text language in Atelier Yumia

To change text language in Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land you have three options.

Option 1: Via Title Menu (PC, PlayStation, XBOX and Switch)

To change text language settings on console and PC can not be done while in an active game. If you selected the wrong language option when starting a new campaign, you will need to return to the Title Menu.
- On the Title Menu Select Options
- Cycle across to the Text Tab
- Change Text Language to your desired Language
- Select YES when asked to save changes
Be warned you can not change the audio language, as mentioned before Japanese is the only available audio. Once you selected your new text language, return to the Title Menu and hit continue. There is no need to restart the game.
Option 2: Via Steam Game Library (PC Only)

- Launch Steam and navigate to Library
- Right-click on Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land
- Select Properties
- In the General Tab select a language drop the drop-down
- Close tab and boot up the game
Option 3: Via your first start-up
The third and final way to select your text language is when you start Atelier Yumia for the very first time, as it will ask you to select your text language immediately.
The inability to change audio language may come as a shock to some, especially given this game's international marketing. Fortunately the Japanese voice acting is incredibly good so you'll soon find yourself growing accustomed to it.
