More players and more chaos are guaranteed in the new 12v12 Apex TDM mode.

Apex Legends is adding a 12v12 TDM in the upcoming Void Reckoning event. This twist on the existing TDM mode will be the biggest game mode in Apex history, with carnage and chaos a guarantee.

Alongside the release of the 12v12 Apex Legends TDM will be a range of cosmetics in the Void Reckoning Reward Shop. This isn't a collection event however, so there is no heirloom to obtain.

Here is what the Void Reckoning event has in store. The event starts on July 23.

12v12 Apex mode will be called "Big TDM"

The most exciting part of the Void Reckoning is that new huge 12v12 Apex TDM. Aptly called "Big TDM", this will be the most amount of players on a team in any Apex mode ever.

From what we know, Big TDM will play out on the pre-existing TDM maps and function in the same way as that mode. Just with even more players.

While racking up kills in the 12v12 Big TDM mode in Apex, players can earn 'Void Points'. These can be redeemed to earn a range of cosmetics and Apex Packs in the Void Reckoning event. You'll need to log in every day to get the maximum Void Points, and get all the cosmetics avaliable.

Included in the avaliable rewards is an event pack, which will earn you one of the new 22 cosmetics releasing in the Void Reckoning event.

New Cosmetics releasing with Void Reckoning event

While the focus of the event is the new Big TDM mode, it wouldn't be an Apex event without new cosmetics. The 22 brand new cosmetics focus around a stylish blue and silver theme. There are skins for several legends, including ones for Wraith, Caustic, Horizon and Newcastle.

Unlocking all of the 22 limited-time cosmetics earns you extra bonus rewards. Each Void Reckoning item received during the event counts towards these bonus rewards that you’ll automatically unlock after earning 5, 12, and 17 items.

All 22 items, including the “Crestfallen Stars” Reactive Havoc, can be acquired via Void Reckoning Event Pack. Each event pack contains one event item, and two standard items.

If you don't want to gamble on packs, you can also purchase some skins directly through the in-game shop. However, this is only for Legend cosmetics, and the matching weapon skins are pack exclusive.

Excited for the new 12v12 Apex Legends TDM mode? You can jump into the action from July 23rd, when the Void Reckoning event begins.
