Team Falcons looked much closer to their best in the days ALGS Pro League matches.

Team Falcons shook off a poor opening week to find their mojo in todays ALGS Pro League matches. They snuck a victory in the final game, doing what they have done so many times in their careers, winning when it matters most.

This was a Falcons performance much more in line with everyone's expectations, with Falcons adjusting to the new Legend Ban mechanics and looking stronger on a variety of Legends compared to last week. They were noticeably more aggressive across the games today.

Team Falcons seem to click

It was also a great performance by Team Falcons. The trio of ImperialHal, Wxltzy and Zer0 are always under the spotlight in the ALGS and performed very well and deserved their win. Zer0 was at his best in the final game, navigating a tricky final lobby with teams playing considerably more aggressively than the rest of the day. While they were somewhat lucky that VP died in 20th, they still had a big task to close a 13 point gap.

However, most notable from Team Falcons was the vibes and energy between the three today.

There can often be what can generously be described as healthy tension between the Team Falcons roster. Today, the trio seemed in great spirits with a healthy banter and overall positive vibe. This seemed to reflect in a strong and confident performance. ImperialHal seemed to excel on both Catalyst and Fuse, demolishing the entirety of VDR with a well timed salvo of grenades. Falcons racked up 49 kills across the six games, a very healthy tally.

This positivity, being quite different from the usual Team Falcons vibe, was quickly picked up by the ALGS community. If this is the start of a new approach for Falcons, at least based on todays results, it seems to be one that delivers better results. Are the super team back?!

Team Falcons snatch victory from VP

  • Team Falcons - 75
  • Virtus.pro - 68
  • Stallions - 50
  • LG - 48
  • FLAT - 46

VP also put in strong display

Despite having victory snatched from them in the final game, Virtus.pro will also be pleased with their performance. They started the set of games in blistering form, winning games two and three back to back earning 44 points across two matches.

However, Virtus.pro did benefit from some kind zones. Now, this is not a guarantee of points in Apex Legends, far from it. Teams have lost "favourable" zones many times across the ALGS. The fact that the team were able to take advantage of this and put a very strong performance down is a great sign for the team even if opponents may accuse them of having a fair bit of luck today.

Sadly, a poor 20th place finish in the last game opened the door for Team Falcons. Regardless, second place is a great showing for this roster and pushes them a bit closer to securing a Midseason Playoff spot.
