A star studded line-up.

Moist Esports have announced that they are adding LAN winners Xynew, Koyful and coach Don to their Apex Legends roster. They will team up with Emtee, who returns to the organisation from GUILD Esports.

Emtee is an unexpected, but logical choice, for the core of the former Spacestation Gaming roster. They made Apex Legends history by parting ways with Phony just days after winning the ALGS Split 2 Playoffs in Mannheim, Germany.

Moist Esports sign all new Apex roster

Moist Esports were left without an Apex roster, after Wxltzy, Gild and iiTzTimmy all moved onto new teams. Wxltzy joined Team Falcons, Gild returned to NRG and iiTzTimmy has linked up with Genburten and Dezignful.

The pick up of the core of the LAN winning Spacestation Gaming roster is a fantastic move for the organisation. Xynew is a multi-LAN champion, and Koyful is one of the hottest prospects in the game. However, perhaps the most shrewd addition will prove to be coach Don. He seemed to have a transformational impact on Spacestation Gaming during Split 2. We now know that there was plenty of internal struggles and conflict within this roster. After adding Don, they were able to rally together and land a LAN title. Moist Esports will hope he can guide their new look Apex team to another LAN win.

Emtee is no stranger for fans of Moist Esports. He spent almost two years with the organisation previously, moving to GUILD Esports after the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. Like MoistCr1tikal says himself, Emtee is finally home now he is back with the organisation once more.

Could this team win Champs?

Given that this new Moist Esports Apex team is three of the four LAN winners from Mannheim, it is fair to consider them amongst the favourites for the ALGS Championship. Match Point format of course always opens the door for any team to win. However, mentally, having that LAN win under your belt can be a huge boost in the critical moments. Self confidence is key when trying to close out a win in the ALGS.

Undoubtedly this team has the talent too. Koyful and Xynew make a fearsome duo with incredible firepower. They are to be guided and steered by both Don and Emtee, who bring immense experience and cool heads to the team. Time will tell, but this side seems to be the real deal and will undoubtedly be in the conversation in Sapporo.
