New cosmetics, a new Universal Heirloom and a new LTM.

The Apex Space Hunt event will bring the latest Universal Heirloom into the game. The event is starting on September 17, and will run through to October 8th. Alongside the new Universal Heirloom is a range of event themed cosmetics and a new LTM. There will also be trials to unlick Crypto and Wattson for free.

Here's everything to expect when the Space Hunt comes to Apex Legends.

New Universal Heirloom coming to Apex

The new Apex Universal Heirloom is called Serpents Sting. It joins the Cobalt Katar and the Buster Sword as the games only Universal Heirlooms.

Like always, this Heirloom initially can only be acquired through Space Hunt Event Packs. Once you've unlocked all the limited time cosmetics from the event you will automatically unlock the Serpents Sting.

Then you can purchase additional customizations usable by any Legend, such as the new “Crimson Ripper” holographic Kill Counter. As you kill enemies during a match, red holographic triangles will fill on the “Serpent's Sting”, maxing out at 5 kills and resetting each match. For those who reach the coveted title of Kill Leader, you’ll see a unique crown holographic at the top for as long as you retain the title.

Apex Space Hunt Reward Shop and cosmetics

There are 36 brand new limited-time cosmetics coming with the Apex Space Hunt event. Each Space Hunt item received during the event counts towards bonus rewards that you’ll automatically unlock after hitting milestones along the way.

These cosmetics include skins for Gibraltar, Wraith, Horizon, Mirage and Ash. There are also weapon skins for the Wingman, R-301, Devotion, Kraber, 30-30 Repeater, Alternator and Mozambique.

There are also some free rewards you can earn through challenges. Players can earn Bounty Bucks by completing daily event challenges, then head to the Space Hunt Reward Shop to choose whichever rewards take their fancy. You can only earn a limited amount of Bounty Bucks per day.

The rotation resets half way through the event.

In additon to that, we are also getting some limited time Space Hunt deals in the Apex shop.

New Mode: Knockout

The Apex Space Hunt event will also introduce an all new mode mode, Knockout. In this intense, objective-based competition, squads must capture zones and collect EVO to rack up points. The 5 lowest-scoring squads are eliminated after each round, so every point counts. Enjoy infinite respawns until the high-stakes Sudden Death finale. After 3 rounds, the final 5 squads are redeployed for an all-out battle where only one squad will emerge victorious.
