Here are the Apex Season 22 Patch Notes.

Details have started to release about Season 22 of Apex Legends. We've gathered everything we know so far about Apex Season 22 into a set of patch notes. We will update this article as more info emerges, and update with the full Apex Patch notes on Monday when they are released.

Apex Season 22 details:

Apex Season 22 Patch Notes

New Map: E-District

The first new map to come to Apex Legends since 2022 will be E-District. This is an intense, close quarters city based map. Developers have taken inspiration from eastern countries like Japan to build out POI's on this map. District has been long rumoured in Apex Legends, and this is sure to be a huge shakeup to the Apex Games.

As always, a new map brings new features. E-District introduces 'Gravity Launchers', which act as mini Gravity Cannons and give you a new way to move around the map or reach high places.

This is an incredibly dense map. For lore lovers, there are call backs and easter eggs galore. Devs ask "if you aren't busy getting shot at, please please look around".

Apex Season 22 Patch Notes: Aim Assist Changes

The Apex Season 22 Patch Notes finally brings a change to Aim Assist. This adjustment will apply to controller players on PC. Console only lobbies will be unaffected.

The reduction will be about 25%. Devs hope this will help balance the playing field.

New revival mechanic

Season 22 will introduce a new Revival mechanic for standard matches. When a player dies, a respawn timer kicks in. As long as someone on your team is alive, when the timer hits 0, that player will respawn near the team.

There are ways to reduce the timer too, dealing damage and getting knocks mean less time to wait before you're back at full strength.

This feature shuts off in the final rings, increasing the intensity of the final moments in a match. Developers want to help encourage players to be more aggressive, take risks and still have a chance to make a comeback.

Battle Sense

Battle Sense, that first debuted in Solos, rolls out to the entire game. The features will be as follows:

  • Enemy Health Bars will show after dealing damage
  • Enemies will be highlighted at close range when aiming down sights
  • Death Boxes are getting an adjustment to make looting faster

Bin Refreshes

Loot Bins are getting a change in the Apex Season 22 Patch Notes too. Mid way through the game all loot bins will be re-rolled and closed up, giving you a second chance to loot a POI.

There will also be two new types of Loot Bin. A Gold Loot Bin, spawning rare items and a Mythic Loot Bin. Only one of these will spawn per game, and it will be marked on the map for all players. Immense rewards await for the first team to claim it.

Apex Season 22 Patch Notes Balance Changes

Legends

At the moment, we don't know a lot about what the Apex Season 22 Patch Notes will contain specifically for each legend. However, EA have outlined a range of legends are getting changes. These include changes for:

  • Rampart
  • Seer
  • Ballistic
  • Vantage
  • Wattson
  • Caustic
  • Crypto
  • Alter
  • Lifeline

In particular, developers expressed that Wattson, Rampart, Vantage and Crypto mains will be "eating well."

Two Legend Classes are also getting a big adjustment. The Recon and Controller class might be popular in the ALGS, but are hardly used in Ranked and Pubs.

  • Controller legends will get a 25HP buff when they are inside the zone. This will allow them to focus on getting into the final zone, instead of having to stay on the edge of zone to gather Evo.
  • You will now be able to remotely pick up your tacticals.
  • The Survey Beacon will now show different information. The Beacon spawn rate is higher, the scan will update frequently for 15 seconds, but will only scan 500m and reward reduced Evo of 75.
  • All Recon Legends will get 'Threat Vision' while aiming down sights. This won't work through Bangalore Smoke.

Weapons

There are a range of changes coming to weapons in the Apex Season 22 Patch Notes. Here is what we know so far:

  • You can now hold 2x P2020 or 2x Mozambiques in Akimbo mode. These weapons will get fire rate buffs in Akimbo mode.
  • LMG's are getting a new 40HP Shield that will appear when you ADS with them. To get this, you'll need the brand new Hop-Up.
  • LMG's are also getting the same Hipfire system that the Care Package Devotion has. The longer you fire, the tighter the spread will get.
  • Shotguns are getting a blast pattern adjustment. Both the Mastiff and Peacekeeper will have less pellets, but each pellet will do more damage. Their spreads are getting adjusted too.
  • The Havoc is getting a Hip Fire nerf.
  • The Hemlock is getting smaller white and blue magazines, more time between bursts and a -1 damage reduction.
  • Ammo stacks are getting changes too. Light Ammo will stack to 72, Shotgun will be 20, and Energy Ammo will stack to 54.
  • Light Weapons are getting ammo increases, including the R-301.
