Apex Legends patch notes: Season 27

Here are the Apex Legends patch notes for Season 27. According to the developers, Valkyrie can soon travel faster and farther through longer burns of her jetpack. Missile Swarm improvements, meanwhile, focus on making her tactical more reliable and add a short recon scan on hit. Other new upgrades let players get more out of her jetpack and ultimate.

Players on the game's competitive subreddit had mixed reactions to Valkyrie's changes. Some folks are excited about the new ability to fire her tactical while skydiving. Meanwhile, others criticized the addition of a brief body scan to her missiles, stating that it adds more wallhack effects to the game. Over on X, some folks wrote that they're excited to return to Apex Legends and play as Valkyrie. Of course, those who don't main or play as her are less enthusiastic.

Moving on to Rampart, the Season 27 update aims to boost her survivability and make her a more viable controller pick after recent struggles with low effectiveness and pick rate. Horizon, meanwhile, sits at her lowest pick rate yet continues to maintain a strong encounter win rate, with restored power and new upgrades making her a more appealing choice. Revenant also gets a nerf in terms of the velocity of Shadow Pounce.
