Octane also gains the new Stim Surge ability that can re-apply Stim, trigger Swift Mend, and grant Fortified for several seconds at no cost to his health total. Apex Legends patch notes: Crypto

As for Crypto, he gets buffs to his passive and tactical ability to help with play potential. According to the developers, this update emphasizes his recon role and makes entering and exiting his drone feel more seamless.

"With these changes Crypto should have less 'dead time' where he is either locked out of his drone or stuck in it," the developers' note stated. "It should feel more seamless to enter and exit your drone making it less cumbersome overall. Lastly, giving Crypto more freedom to enter the drone, and incorporating Off the Grid into the base kit, unlocks some pretty sneaky tech for him!"
