Apex Legends Creator Tournament Series: EA wants your wildest ideas

EA is calling on Apex Legends creators to pitch their wildest tournament ideas. From melee-only brawls to TTRPG mashups, the new Creator Tournament Series promises fresh, community-driven fun with direct support from Respawn.

Think your Apex tournament idea is too wild? EA might actually want it, because EA is now accepting concept submissions for their brand new Apex Legends Creator Tournament Series.

Apex Legends creators will be able to submit their wacky tournament ideas for consideration, with EA's call to action very focused around originality.

"We don’t want the same old tournament format - we’re looking to create one-of-a-kind and unforgettable experiences for the Apex community. Melee only? Great! Turn Apex into a TTRPG? Deal! One bin challenge? Even better! If you can dream it, you can pitch it!"

BLGS walked so Creator Tournaments Series could run

The Creator Tournament Series initiative seems to follow EA's recent trend around filling downtime in competitive Apex with grassroots events to maintain player interest.

In September 2024, EA and Respawn announced the BLGS, a community driven tournament series focused around the magic of NiceWigg and Greek's ALGS B-stream which ran from October to December. While successful, the BLGS did primarily cater for Apex players with a thirst for competition.

The Creator Tournament Series on the other hand, has the potential to be far more attractive to a casual audience, which is a much larger component of the Apex Legends player base. Especially given Apex Legends is now entering its sixth year.

With the ALGS Split Pro League's wrapping up mid-October, expect the Apex Legends Creator Tournament Series to keep you occupied until the ALGS Global Finals 2026 in Sapporo, Japan in early January.

Financial support available to Apex Legends Creators

Selected creator events part of the Apex Legends Creator Tournament Series will receive direct support from Respawn to make it a reality.

This support will include:

  • Prize pool "support"
  • Twitch drops
  • Code giveaways

Respawn will also assist in the organization of the event and offer "social support", most likely in the form of signal boosting on social media.
