Zachary "Zach" Mazer, or Zachmazer as he is known by many has been part of one of the biggest ALGS comeback stories in recent seasons. His professional career seemed on the rocks, after he and E8 were passed over for a Pro League invite.



This left E8 with four chances to qualify back for the Pro League. They either had to win an event, or finish in the top four on the overall leaderboard. Strong teams have lost their footing in the chaos and carnage of the ALGS's second tier.



However, this was not the fate of E8. They responded loud and clear to being passed over, winning the first ALGS Pre Season qualifier. But, they weren't done there. Silencing doubters, they have progressed all the way from qualifiers to the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. One of a very small number of teams to have ever done so.

This revival has rebooted the career of Zachmazer, and given a kickstart to his two inexperienced teammates, 'Shooby' and 'Zap'. Together they head to Los Angeles as a genuine dark horse, with some saying they have a serious shot at taking the LAN title.



Esports.gg spoke to Zachmazer ahead of the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs kicking off on May 2.



Zachmazer was unphased by lack of Pro League invite



E8 found out they weren't being given a Pro League invite via Discord, Zachmazer recalls. He read out the message, that said "After careful consideration of evaluating other preceding teams, we regret to inform you that your team was selected to not receive an invitation."



His response to that news? "That's fine."



Zachmazer wasn't phased by being passed over by the ALGS team. "I don't care. I'll just play the tournament. Qualifying is easy."



Not one person on the team or organisation was remotely concerned about the lack of invitation.



In fact, Zach felt like he was never out of the league. He and his team were so confident in their abilities that they never considered the possibility of missing out on a spot in Split 1's Pro League. Given

Apex Legends player Phillip "ImperialHal" Dosen has joined the Red Bull Gaming family. The surprise announcement was made on his Twitch livestream on April 27. Fellow Red Bull member Timothy "iiTzTimmy" Ahn welcomed him with a Red Bull hat!

ImperialHal joins Red Bull Gaming family ahead of ALGS Split 1 Playoffs

Complexity player Bowen "Monsoon" Fuller has taken to X, formerly known as Twitter, to call out ALGS partner teams that have exited the ALGS mid season.



The ALGS announced a revamped partnership programme ahead of ALGS Year 4. 12 selected teams received a range of benefits. Most notable of these was a financial stipend to support the cost of having an Apex Legends roster.



However, despite being a partnered team, OpTic Gaming has entirely exited the ALGS, after their roster failed to make the ALGS Split 1 Playoffs. FaZe Clan have also dropped two of their roster, and their future in the game is unknown.



Monsoon frustrated that Complexity aren't an ALGS partner team



On X, Monsoon explained his frustration with teams that have withdrawn from the ALGS despite being partnered. It was expected that being a Year 4 partnered team would essentially ensure organisations stuck around at least for the entire years competition.



With just 12 slots, several notable organisations were not able to be part of the revamped programme. Complexity, who Monsoon has competed for in the ALGS for over four years, were not included.

This was somewhat of a surprise. Complexity, as Monsoon points out, have been very loyal to the ALGS. They dived headfirst into Apex Legends just a couple of months after the games release. Since then, they have maintained active ALGS rosters ever since.

Monsoon hits out at ALGS partner organisations leaving the ALGS

PlayStation's newest action-adventure game, Stellar Blade, launched on April 26 to a warm reception from critics. Many have praised Stellar Blade's story, combat system, and more, but some fans feel misled by unexpected outfit censorship. The developers released a day one patch, significantly changing multiple in-game outfits and more, much to the dismay of those who purchased the game. As a result, believers in the game have begun a campaign to #FreeStellarBlade.

On April 21, the official Stellar Blade account on 'X' released a statement regarding the game's censorship status. The day-one patch refuted that claim despite the studio alleging that all countries will receive the same uncensored version. Players quickly noticed the censorship of various outfits, including the bunny outfit, that looked noticeably different in the Stellar Blade trailers.

Anyone who preloaded the game on day one of release would have seen the version that ShiftUp presumably intended to release. Unfortunately, for currently unclear reasons, outfits like the one above now appear slightly altered. Additionally, the update addressed offensive graffiti found in-game.

Players have since taken to social media with the hashtag #FreeStellarBlade, and a petition exists for those who want the changes reverted. The petition has garnered over 6,000 signatures, and the game's director has commented on the outrage.

Fortnite v29.30 included a long-awaited update to the LEGO game mode, adding animal taming. Players can now lure animals back to their Village and assign them to an Animal House. The animals available to tame include cows, chickens, sheep, and newly added pigs.

After this chat, go southeast and eliminate the Corruptor boss. Once that's done, there should be a box nearby. Go up to it and open it to collect the Design Pattern item for Eve's bunny suit.

How to equip Stellar Blade nano suits



To wear Eve's bunny outfit, enter the "Equipment" screen, select the "Exterior" option, and choose the suit. This outfit features bunny ears that go over Eve's shoulders plus a fluffy tail.

All you'll find for this Warzone update are bug fixes in its patch notes:




Fixed additional collision issues on Rebirth Island that allowed players to exploit geography.



Fixed an issue preventing the gas mask animation from playing, leading it to function

Call of Duty: MW3 and Warzone patch notes for April 23, 2024

Riot Games has announced two bugs they've found within their first-person shooter, VALORANT. The first deals with Cypher's Trapwire still appearing on his teammates' map after dying. The other deals with an exploit on one of VALORANT's maps, Split.



Per the announcement, Patch 8.08 will see a fix for both of these bugs. Cypher remains playable in all modes, but Split is being removed from matchmaking until the issue has been resolved.

Recently we’ve discovered two different bugs, one with Cypher’s Trapwire, which shows his Trapwires on the minimap of his teammates after he has died, and the other an exploit on Split. The Cypher bug is just a visual error. The Split issue in VALORANT, however, seems to be a much bigger problem. While Riot Games did not detail exactly what the exploit is, they have made the decision to remove Split from the game for the time being.



Players have commented on the X post with assumptions as to what the exploit is. It has not been confirmed, but many believe it has to do with new locations high up on the map that the likes of Jett and Raze can jump to.

It won't be long until it returns, though. The most recent update for the game arrived on April 16. They roll out patches on a biweekly basis for VALORANT, thus placing Split back in the rotation come Patch 8.08 on April 30.



There are some adjustments that have to happen with its removal. Split is still available in custom games, but is gone from Competitive, Unrated, Swiftplay, Spike Rush, and Premier.



Premier's Week  7 map for Episode 8 Act 2 was meant to be Split. Riot Games will replace it with the first week's map, Ascent. They are also taking Split out of the

The 2024 ALGS Split 1 Playoffs take place at the Galen Centre, Los Angeles, May 2-5. 40 teams from all over the world are battling for a share of the $1,000,000 prize pool. Teams will also earn 'Playoff Points' that will qualify them for the ALGS Championship later in the year.
