There are three free Eruption skins you can claim in XDefiant for a very limited amount of time, but doing so is extremely simple.
Ubisoft Forward showcased many of the publisher's upcoming titles. It gave us our first look at XDefiant Season 1, as well as offering up some free skins for anyone who plays the game.
The catch is that you have to load into XDefiant and play a game within 48 hours of the announcement. At the time of writing, we're already 24 hours in. So, let's go over the skins and how long you have left to claim them.
Play XDefiant to earn three free weapon skins
With the reveal of Season 1 and its upcoming content, a freebie was dished out by Ubisoft for those who play XDefiant. The timer to claim the skins started at approximately 12:20 p.m. PT on June 10, 2024.
With 48 hours on the countdown, that means you have until about 12:20 p.m. PT on June 11, 2024. So, login to XDefiant on your preferred platform now, and you'll those three free skins.

A look at the Eruption skins
The skins in question are from the Eruption collection. They all have a similar appearance, but of course vary depending on the weapon itself. The three free skins you can claim in XDefiant simply by playing are as follows:
- M16A4 Assault Rifle
- M44 Sniper Rifle
- M870 Shotgun
You don't have to wait for the 48 hours to end to obtain them. There is notification that they are yours, however. Once you play the game, just look for the Eruption skin in the skin selection area of the respective weapons above.
They are absolutely free and absolutely yours to keep. A reminder that XDefiant is a free-to-play game in the first place, so Ubisoft is simply rewarding the fan base with some free skins to hype up its successful launch and pending season.
