How to add friends in XDefiant

XDefiant is here! There are plenty of things to unpack in this latest Ubisoft shooter. But admit it, we all just want to jump into the game and enjoy the new environment. But playing it with friends will make it an entirely better experience. Here is how you can add friends in XDefiant.

On the Main Menu of XDefiant, navigate to the top-right of the screen and click on the "SOCIAL" button. It is next to the "SETTINGS" button, showing a pair of silhouettes as an icon.

Once you've clicked on the "SOCIAL" button you will see the Party Management tab. On this tab, you'll be able to see your party members, invite friends to Party, and see incoming Party Invites from other people. Click on the "Invite to Party" button.

You'll then see the Social tab pull-out from the left side of the screen. In the Search bar, enter your friend's Ubisoft ID and a list of players with the same or similar name will come out.

Note that XDefiant allows you to import your friends from console to XDefiant. To do so, log into the Ubisoft Connect mobile app or website.

Names in Ubisoft are easy to recognize as all of them are unique names. Spot your friend's ID and click on the "+Add" button.

Once your friend accepts your request, you'll be able to see their Online/Offline status. If you want to begin playing with your friend, click on the "Invite" button! You can also start a direct message by clicking on the chat icon next to it.
