Who is Alexstrasza in Dragonflight?

Alexstrasza the Life-Binder is of the red dragonflight in World of Warcraft. She is also known as the Dragon Queen. This is in addition to being the guardian of all life on Azeroth and the leader of the Dragon Aspects.
She was a proto-dragon alongside Malygos, Neltharion, Nozdormu and Ysera. Imbued with powers to protect Azeroth, these proto-dragons were transformed into the Dragon Aspects. Together, they fought against the corrupted proto-dragon named Galakrond. Alexstrasza later brought the other Aspects together to defeat Deathwing, which required the Aspects sacrificing a lot of their power.
In Dragonflight, players get to help Alexstrasza and the red dragonflight in the new Waking Shores area.

Is Neltharion Deathwing?

Neltharion was the Aspect of the black dragonflight, but he was driven to madness by the Old Gods. The Old Gods include C'Thun, N'Zoth and Yogg-Saron, who are physical manifestations of the Void. The Void is a primal force in the World of Warcraft universe.
After the Old Gods corrupted Neltharion, the dragon took on the name Deathwing the Destroyer. When Deathwing failed to enslave the other dragonflights, he aimed to shatter the world. Deathwing met his defeat after the other Aspects and their allies fought against him. He fell into the Maelstrom rift and was destroyed by the Dragon Soul. The Dragon Soul was created to harness the power of the different dragonflights.

Wrathion worked with World of Warcraft champions to save Azeroth from an Old God. N'Zoth, the Old God, was significantly involved in the corruption of Neltharion.

Malygos was the Aspect of the blue dragonflight in the World of Warcraft universe. He was the guardian of magic, ruling his dragonflight alongside his mate. Deathwing used the Dragon Soul to destroy most of the blue dragonflight, resulting in only a few eggs left. Malygos later met his defeat in the Nexus War, which was a battle against mortals who used magic. After his defeat, Kalecgos led the blue dragonflight.

Ysera was the Aspect of the green dragonflight. Also known as The Dreamer, she was tasked to watch over the wilds from the Emerald Dream. The Emerald Dream refers to a spirit realm in World of Warcraft. When Ysera woke up within the Emerald Dream, she was known as The Awakened. Like the other Aspects, she later fought to defeat Deathwing as well.
Due to the corruption of the Old Gods, Ysera fell into the Emerald Nightmare and was put to rest. Later, Ysera's soul ended up in Ardenweald forest within the Shadowlands realm. She also got resurrected and bound to Shadowlands.

Who leads the green dragonflight now?

Merithra is the daughter of Ysera. After Ysera got put to rest, Merithra took up the mantle to lead the green dragonflight. She played a role in the War of the Shifting Sands, which was a conflict that also involved the Old God known as C'Thun. Currently, Merithra is still guiding the green dragonflight.
In the new World of Warcraft expansion, the Ohn'ahran Plains area is known as the former home of the green dragonflight.
