Want to get this exclusive World of Warcraft pet? Here’s how to unlock the Sand Scarab for free.

Excited for some more free World of Warcraft (WoW) content? The game is giving out Sand Scarab pets to players who participate in its Twitch drops.

But how does someone take part in a Twitch Drop? Here is everything you need to know.

How to get the WoW Sand Scarab through Twitch drops

To receive the Sand Scarab pet, you have to watch four hours of WoW content on Twitch. The streamer, however, must have Twitch drops enabled.

Dates:

  • Start: October 22, 2024.
  • End: November 5, 2024.

“Easily mistaken for a common beetle, the sting of a sand scarab will quickly clear up the misconception should you be unlucky enough to be stung by one," Blizzard described the pet.

Players have two weeks to get the Sand Scarab, which is more than enough time. The best part is that you do not have to watch four hours of WoW content all at once. You can split up your time.

So, how does someone make sure drops are enabled?

How to enable Twitch drops

To enable Twitch drops, you must follow these steps:

  1. Click on your profile picture in the top right corner.
  2. Click on "Drops and Rewards."
  3. Enable Twitch drops.

After this is done, head to Battle.net's "Connections" page and link your Blizzard account to your Twitch account.

Once completed, you'll be good to go. Make sure you do this before you start watching WoW content, though, because any time spent on Twitch before you connect your account and turn on drops will not go towards your Twitch drops watch time.
