Sleep under the stars, but at your own peril. You know… Murlocs everywhere.
The second phase of Season of Discovery is live and ready to go. If you were already at the max level of 25 that means you're ready for more adventures immediately. It also means you can go after a highly sought after new item in WoW Classic SoD, the Cozy Sleeping Bag!
After all, who doesn't want to sleep outside, underneath the stars and out in the Barrens? What? You don't? Something about... Orcs and centaurs? Oh, you'll be fine. After all, isn't an experience boost worth the risk?
What is the Cozy Sleeping Bag in WoW Classic?
The Cozy Sleeping Bag is a new addition to WoW Classic in SoD Phase 2 which provides an experienced earned bonus. "Use: Unfurl a sleeping bag. Resting inside for at least one minute will provide a bonus to experience earned, stacking up to 3 times. Two hour, 40 minute cooldown." That means a potential three percent XP bonus at any given time, for free!
However, the steps for getting the Cozy Sleeping Bag in WoW SoD will take you all around Azeroth. Hope you're ready to hike.
How to get the Cozy Sleeping Bag in WoW Classic
The first steps for obtaining the Cozy Sleeping Bag differs based on if you're Alliance or Horde to start, but both will need to do both the Barrens and Westfall step to proceed. Start with the step in your designated zone, then go to the other after.
- Alliance: Head out to Westfall and go to the Alexston Farmstead (/way 37, 50). Check the rubble for a clickable called Burned-Out Remains. This gives you a quest called …and that note you found.
- Horde: Go to The Barrens and south of Camp Taurajo (/way 46, 74) and you'll see a burnt tower. Click the rubble and get the quest …and that note you found.
Next, you'll be heading to Stonetalon Mountains and northeast of Sun Rock Retreat (/way 50.9, 52.3). Go to the forgotten campsite and click on the Pocket Litter to complete the quest step Stepping Stones and then receive the next step, Scramble.
Go directly north from your location and up a hill. If you look over the edge you'll see an interactable mound of dirt (/way 39.6, 49.8) that you'll need to jump down to for the next phase of the Cozy Sleeping Bag quest in WoW Classic. This gives the quest Wet Job, which now asks you to head over to Loch Modan.

Head to the Stonewrought Dam and find the Eagle Figurine (/way 49, 12), which gives the next step of the quest, Eagle's Fist. The traveling continues, as you must now go through Arathi Highlands and over to Hillsbrad Foothills, at the Thoradin Wall.
There's a cart on the Hillsbrad side of the wall (/way 87.3, 49.6) which you can use to get inside the Wall. Finally, inside that wall is a note to complete the quest and obtain your Cozy Sleeping Bag in WoW Classic SoD.
