The Breeze rework wasn’t on our bingo card, but we’ll take it. Here are all the changes coming in VALORANT 2026 Season Act I.

Breeze is returning to the map pool in the VALORANT Season 2026 Act I, but it's coming with a reworked look. These changes have the goal of tightening open spaces, reducing angle complexity, and making defenders' lives easier by facilitating their rotation.

Breeze returns to the map pool

Breeze has been out of the map rotation since June 2024. After all this time, the map is set to return with a new look in VALORANT 2026 Season Act I. Several changes are being implemented to one of the game’s largest maps.

In 2026, many cool things are being added to VALORANT. New game mode, new weapon, and small updates to certain maps are all included in the first patch notes of the year. Don't forget to check them out!

Breeze rework: A Site

Right at the A main location, you'll see a new box. This change will make the entrance a little bit safer for attackers to hide in case defenders play more aggressively. The left box will also advance to create an escape for attackers.

Inside the site, you'll notice a lot of differences in this rework. In the new Breeze, the corner at your right will be slightly distant from the entrance, which will give a better angle for defenders to play it. The water range will also be bigger, increasing its size and almost covering the whole site.

Back Site

There is also the addition of a box in the back site, granting a safe spot for attackers to defend the spike from the enemies coming from CT. The box behind the big yellow container will be removed, taking away a great spot for defenders to secure the site.

As for those who come from mid, the wood barrier will no longer be there, giving them one less spot to clear or spam through. They will also have a new corner to hide from CT, allowing them to retake the site in a safer and less open position. Overall, you will feel the A site closer, with less open space, which also means more spots to clear.

The A stairs will be removed. Bye-bye AWPers at that angle. There will now be a small passage to mid. They will be replaced by a building that will create one more angle for defenders to play. The yellow container will now be in a diagonal instead of in a horizontal position.

The A ropes are gone. The tunnels will be replaced with a passage that will connect to the one on the A back site and to the defenders' spawn.

Breeze rework: B Site

The box in the B main entrance will be repositioned. There is nothing much different in this area, but for attackers, that's one less spot to hide in case the attack goes wrong.

Just like A site, B will now be closer and less of an open space. The wall that connects with the mid lane will be pushed forward, leaving less space in the middle of the site. Some boxes will also be added to create more angles and opportunities to fight back.

Back Site and Cubby

On the back site, the walls will be bigger, removing a defensive angle that was perfect for long-range weapons. On the right side, a new box will be added.

The B cubby will be slightly bigger. The stairs will be removed, so you won't have as much angle complexity due to the level of the stairs. It will also be a good angle for attackers to breathe a little bit when they enter the site.

Breeze rework: Mid

The mid area will no longer feel like an endless terrain. The zone will be less open, with more space to hide and new angles to explore due to the addition of boxes and a bigger lateral wall.

The mid entrance to A site is slightly open, but you have less vision of the site. The side box was also removed for a clear path. As for that jump, where attackers could get more control of the top mid and B link, that will also be removed. Unless you are a Jett or maybe a Raze with her satchels, you won't be able to reach the top of that wall.

Mid Halls, Elbow, and Nest

In the newest Breeze rework, the mid halls will no longer feel like a big open space. They will now look more like corridors that you have to walk through and clear. A new wall will limit access to the defender spawn. For those who come from that tunnel, the way out is more closed. You won't see the enemy team rotating so early since your vision from the spawn will be shortened. You'll need to be very careful when checking those new angles.

The same is happening in the elbow. You'll no longer have sight of the mid lane. However, there will be a small window where you can use Fade's eye or Sova's drone to obtain info. The elbow will feel more like a tunnel to mid. It won't be as accessible.

Finally, Nest will also be receiving a small update. The space will be smaller for defenders. Moving the box to the right will create a small space where defenders can hide in case they miss their shots. Attackers will have less vision of the Nest from under it.
