You can make every Fighter in Street Fighter 6 your Master in the World Tour mode, but some are harder to unlock than others. Zangief is one of the last non-story characters to unlock, and so we’ll give you some hints on how to find him. Here’s how to unlock Zangief as a Master in SF6 World Tour:
Unlock Zangief as a Master in Street Fighter 6 World Tour
First step to unlocking Zangief is getting your character to around level 30 and advancing to Chapter 9-1 in the story. After that you'll find a pair of burley Russian wrestlers standing by the stadium in Metro City. Talk to the one on the left and start the mission Hither and Tither. This is a simple mission that sees you try and convince a wrestler that the big tournament has indeed been canceled!
Defeat the Russian wrestler on the left (this is no easy fight) and his tag team partner will give you a ticket to Barmaley Steelworks, Russia. Take the trip and watch the cutscene. Then talk to Zangief, and he’s you’re new Master in Street Fighter 6's World Tour mode. All too simple really!
How to unlock Zangief’s classic outfit, Outfit 2
If you’re like us, you like Zangief’s new outfit, but still want the Classic one. You can pay for the privilege, and it only costs 50 Fighter Coins, but we recommend unlocking it by maxing out Zangief’s Master bond. To do this, fight in his style, use his moves, and buy him gifts.
Conveniently, Zangief’s favorite item is right at the shop next to him, the Barmaley Steelworks. Talk to the Hawker and buy the Wooden Bear statue. Zangief loves it! You can quickly max out your bond with this trick!
