Get those 100 credits you need to get your data stick repaired.

The opening mission of Star Wars Outlaws seems simple on the face of it. You need your Data Stick repaired, and just like in any universe, repairs cost money. However faced with empty pockets, how can you quickly acquire the credits you need to get this repair done by Preeba and get on with your Star Wars Outlaws adventure?

We've got you covered on some quick ways to grab credits and get that data stick repaired.

Best ways to acquire credits in Star Wars Outlaws to pay Preeba

At the start of the game, it might not seem like there is a way to get your hands on credits. However, there are three ways to get those 100 credits you need as quickly as possible. Here's what we've found to be the best:

  • Pickpocket local police guards
  • Collect and sell scrap
  • Find credits hidden around the nearby area

Pickpocket local police guards

The action that yields the most credits is from sending the deceptively adorable Nix to climb inside local police guards and steal their credits from under their nose.

Simply walk up to any unsuspecting police guard (try not to look suspicious!). When you're in range, a prompt should pop up to send Nix in to steal from them. What a well trained boy!

Sell scrap

However, there aren't enough police guards around for you to acquire the whole 100 credits in Star Wars Outlaws to pay Preeba. You'll need to turn to other means to get the funds you need. You'll need to take a leaf out of Rey's book and gather some scrap to sell. Thankfully you can get credits, rather than portions, in return.

Keep your eyes peeled for a little blue pop up when moving around. That indicates there is something you can pick up. Then head to the local merchant and see how much you can get for selling it. There are items like broken Hyper Spanners lying around.

Acquire credits in Star Wars Outlaws from behind this building

One final way to acquire credits in Star Wars Outlaws is actually really easy. Head left from Preeba’s workshop, to the back of the building. You'll see a room with a light inside. Slide in underneath the pipe and there are some dropped credits just lying around. Lucky Preeba didn’t find them first.

Between those three methods you should be able to aquire the 100 credits you need to pay Preeba and move on in Star Wars Outlaws. May the force be with you!
