This limited-edition robot can give your crops a new and rare type of mutation.
During the August 9 admin abuse event of Grow a Garden, active players received a couple of Junkbots: Mythical pets that will likely become very valuable in the future unless Jandel and his team decide to make them obtainable from an egg.
If you’re lucky enough to get this pet during the recent admin abuse event, or someone just gifted or traded you one of their Junkbots, this post will cover everything you need to know about these mechanized creatures.
Junkbot’s trait in Grow a Garden

If you equip a Junkbot in your garden, there’s at least a 14% chance that a random fruit within this pet’s radius will get the Oil Mutation. This ability triggers every 14 minutes or so.
Currently, there are no other ways to acquire the Junkbot unless you’re online during the August 9 admin abuse event, which featured a YouTuber named Albert as Jandel’s guest admin.
Judging by the Junkbot’s trait alone, its mutation-giving trait makes it a lot better than Travis Kelce’s Football pet, which only provides either a few amounts of Sheckles or a Watering Can.
As you might’ve already noticed, the Junkbot resembles the free Junkbot Avatar bundle that’s always available at the Roblox marketplace.

The Junkbot pet’s sprite is also used in the admin weather system called Junkbot Raid. In this event, instead of the Oil Mutation, the Junkbots raiding your garden will grant the Junkshot Mutation.

To increase the odds of the Junkbot providing the Oil Mutation to your crops, feed it with Pet Toy items to boost its passive. You can also pair it with other pets that can shorten a trait’s cooldown, such as Queen Bee, Tarantula Hawk, and Peacock.
