Let the sunlight reach your crops to make their fruits more expensive!
Starting with the recent Summer Update, crops in Grow a Garden can now gain a new set of mutations, and the most highly anticipated so far is the Sundried Mutation.
Compared to other valuable mutations in the game, the good news is that Sundried isn’t obtainable from an admin weather event, so you don’t need to wait for Jandel to become online just to get it.
Here’s everything you need to know about the Sundried Mutation in Grow a Garden, including a surefire tip that will enable you to witness its corresponding weather system.

Where to get the Sundried Mutation in Grow a Garden

You can only get the Sundried Mutation to your crops by staying online during an event-exclusive weather system called Heatwave.
The Heatwave weather system makes the sun in the sky appear much brighter and capable of emitting Sun Beams around the map. Once a Sun Beam hits a crop, it gains the Sundried Mutation, giving an afflicted crop a dark brown hue.
As an event weather system, Heatwave can only happen during the Summer Update, so it’s better to stay online as often as you can before a new event becomes available.
The Heatwave weather system doesn’t follow a specific schedule, but if you want to catch it, consider joining Grow a Garden Discord servers to get notified when rare weather events occur. You can also watch Grow a Garden livestreams that track stock, weather, and cosmetics to see if a Heatwave is currently active in-game.

A Sundried crop has an x85 value multiplier, making it significantly more valuable than Plasma, HoneyGlazed, Pollinated, and Heavenly mutations.
To increase the chances of Sun Beams hitting your crops, use a Mythical Item called the Tanning Mirror. It’s rarely available at the Gear Shop, but it can redirect Sun Beams to your garden and boost your Sundried crop yield.
