The highly elusive Demonite ore has a trait that provides a significant buff to your weapons and armor.
In The Forge, Demonite is one of the two rarest ores that a player can mine from Volcanic Rocks. Obtaining one requires a great stroke of luck, as it has a staggering chance of one in 3,666.
If you’ve recently mined a Demonite, you might be wondering how it affects weapons and armor. As a Mythical ore, crafting with Demonite gives your gear a unique trait that can provide a serious advantage in combat.

Demonite’s trait in The Forge
When used as a crafting ingredient, Demonite ore can imbue a newly crafted weapon or armor with a trait called Backfire, which can inflict the Burn condition on any enemy that hits its wearer. The chance to Burn an attacking enemy is 25%, and this trait is also present if you have the Demon race.
To activate Demonite ore’s trait, at least 10% of the ores used in crafting must be Demonite. Also, if the majority of ores you used are Demonite, the resulting gear will be Demonite-type, boasting higher stats than most other equipment in the game.

Where and how to farm Demonite
Demonite is only obtainable from the Volcanic Rocks found in the Volcanic Depths, which is the underground section of the Forgotten Kingdom’s Ruined Cave.
Before entering the Volcanic Depths, be sure that you have already bought the Lightite Pickaxe. Otherwise, you won’t have enough damage to mine Volcanic Rocks. The Lightite Pickaxe costs $98,500, so you need to make lots of money in the game if you can’t afford it yet.
To reach the Volcanic Depths, take the correct path near the entrance of the Ruined Cave. Head straight until you find another path to the right, where you’ll spot an opening leading further underground. This is where you can find Volcanic Rocks.
Demonite is an extremely rare ore, so it’s normal to spend hours just to find one. You can improve your chances by using luck and mining potions, available at the Potion Shop. If you have extra Robux, purchasing luck and miner totems can further boost your odds of mining Demonite ores.
