Take on Zekrom in Pokémon GO with our Raid Guide.
Zekrom is in Pokémon GO Raids on February 28, and then March 1 and 2 as part of the Road to Unova and Unova Tour events.
This Pokémon has never been more important in the game. Zekrom is already one of the very best Electric-type Pokémon, good in PvP, and a solid Dragon-type.
However, now it is also key to getting Black Kyurem, the very powerful Fusion Pokémon. You need Zekrom and Zekrom candy in order to fuse with Kyurem, so make sure to do some of these Raids.
Here is everything you need to know before battling Zekrom in Pokémon GO.
Best Zekrom counters in Pokémon GO:
Zekrom has a weakness to Dragon, Fair, Ground and Ice-type attacks in Pokémon GO. It has a resistance to Fire, Flying, Grass, Steel and Water-type attacks with a further double resistance to Electric-type attacks.

With Zekrom having a weakness to Dragon-type moves, there is no shortage of good Dragon-type Pokémon to pick from. This includes the powerful Mega Rayquaza, Mega Garchomp and Origin Forme Dialga and Palkia. All of those Pokémon have been made avaliable in the game recently
Two other Pokémon that are good counters are Black Kyurem and White Kyurem. As these have not rolled out worldwide, we haven't included them. But, if you did go to either of the in-person events, use those new Pokémon for these Raids.
Of course, you are limited to one Mega or Primal Pokémon at once. So, the non-Mega Evolved forms of the best Dragon-type Pokémon are also great Zekrom counters. This includes Rayquaza, Garchomp and Groudon.
