From leveling up to battling more efficiently, here are our best tips and tricks for Pokémon Legends: Z-A.

Pokémon Legends: Z-A's battling system is vastly different than any Pokémon game we have ever seen before, even Arceus. Instead of a turn-based style, the game's battling system takes on an almost MOBA-style of battling, meaning you will have to run around and direct your Pokémon to fight.

This new style can be quite the adjustment, making it difficult for some players.

When fighting, it is important not to just stand in one spot. As you move around and direct your Pokémon to attack, it will also move with you. When seeing your opponent's Pokémon begin an attack, it is important to move out of the way and then immediately target them for an attack.

If you do this quickly enough, your Pokémon will move with you, and your opponent's Pokémon will be forced to attack in the direction it was preparing to attack. This is a great way to dodge your opponent's moves.

Another tip is to always have at least one quick physical move in your arsenal. Special-type moves are always incredibly powerful, but can take some time to use and regenerate. It's important to have moves you can quickly use when you need to.

While knowing how to level up in any Pokémon game may seem like something everyone should know (and they probably do), there is a way to level up your Pokémon fast in Pokémon Legends: Z-A that does not require battling other Pokémon.

When battling a Rogue Mega Pokémon, make sure to always have at least one Pokémon that is strong against it and also has a Mega Stone equipped; fighting without a Mega Evolution will make Rogue Mega Pokémon battles go by extremely slowly.

Also, be sure to utilize dodging when fighting Rogue Mega Pokémon, as they will directly target you with attacks.
