Get set for Raid Day.
Primal Kyogre is back in Pokémon GO raids during a special raid day event on March 17. Primal Kyogre will be available to battle between 1400 and 1700 local time.
There is a host of event bonuses, and a paid event ticket, making this a great opportunity to get out and grind the best Water-type Pokémon in the game.
Free event bonuses include boosted Shiny rates, five additional free raid passes and an increased Remote Raid limit. Trainers who want to pick up the $5 event ticket will get eight extra raid passes, increased Rare Candy XL chances and a boost to XP and Stardust rewards from Primal Kyogre Raids.
Best Primal Kyogre counters in Pokémon GO:
Primal Kyogre one of the most powerful Pokémon in Pokémon GO. It'll require a powerful team. As a pure Water-type, Kyogre is weak to Grass or Electric-type Pokémon.
There are some decent options available in these categories, including some powerful mega-Pokémon. Here are the best Primal Kyogre counters in Pokémon GO.
Mega Sceptile Fury Cutter & Frenzy Plant | Kartana Razor Leaf & Leaf Blade | Mega Rayquaza Dragon Tail & Drason Ascent | Shadow Raikou Thunder Shock & Wild Charge | Xurkitree Thunder Shock & Discharge | Zekrom Charge Beam & Fusion Bolt | Mega Venusaur Vine Whip & Frenzy Plant | Mega Ampharos Volt Switch & Zap Cannon | Mega Manectric Thunder Fang & Wild Charge | Roserade Magical Leaf & Grass Knot | Electivire Thunder Shock & Wild Charge | Tapu Bulu Bullet Seed & Grass Knot |
There are lots of good choices, especially with Mega Pokémon for Primal Kyogre raids. Shadow Raikou is listed, as they are currently also in raids during March. Otherwise, due to their high costs and low availability we aren't listing Shadow Pokémon as counters.
Depending on the amount of trainers with you will probably dictate if you need to use a Mega-Pokémon in your raid team, or if you can use a Mega Evolution that will earn you bonus Candy.
Of course, any Pokémon listed here in its Mega form will also be a good counter in its standard form. Don't forget you can only have one Pokémon Mega Evolved at once.
