Now Sinnoh Tour is out the way, trainers attention will turn to the new Pokémon GO Glimmers of Gratitude research.
This Masterwork research is the fourth in Pokémon GO history. Masterwork research is very hard, arduous to complete and will be 'time-gated' in several places.
The Pokémon GO Glimmers of Gratitude research is worth the grind though. It will reward a guaranteed encounter with a Shiny Shaymin.
Pokémon GO Glimmers of Gratitude Masterwork Research
If you don't have the Glimmers of Gratitude research then you're all out of luck. This was a paid ticket that was only available till February 25th. It might come back one day, but for now it is no longer available to purchase.
Masterwork Research: Glimmers of Gratitude - Steps:
Thankfully, the path to get Shiny Shaymin is a Special Research and not a timed one. That means you can take as long as you need to complete the following steps.
This article will be updated as the later pages are revealed. For now, we only know the first two.
Please also bear in mind that trainers that attended the Go Tour: Sinnoh in person event in Los Angeles got an easier version of the Masterwork Research. This information is not applicable to those players, and beware of seeing their quest steps instead online.
Pokémon GO Glimmers of Gratitude - Step One:
- Catch 492 Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region - 492 XP
- Catch 492 Pokémon originally discovered in the Johto region - 492 XP
- Catch 492 Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region - 492 XP
- Catch 492 Pokémon originally discovered in the Sinnoh region) - 492 XP
Rewards: 10 Dialga Candy, 10 Palkia Candy, 10 Giratina Candy.
This step should be fairly simple to do. Trainers who went super hard during the Sinnoh Tour will probably be almost done, or totally done, with one of the tasks. Step one will take some time, but if you play Pokémon GO often it's only a matter of time.
Step Two:
- Catch 20 Grass-type Pokémon - Burmy (Plant) Encounter
- Catch a Pokémon 7 days in a row - Burmy (Sandy) Encounter
- Catch a Pokémon on 21 different days - Burmy (Trash) Encounter
Rewards: 1 Incense, 30 Ultra Balls, 1 XL Rare Candy.

- Send 4 Gifts and add a sticker to each - Bidoof Encounter
- Use 4 Berries to help catch Pokémon - Bidoof Encounter
- Earn 4 hearts with your buddy - Bidoof Encounter
Rewards: 3 Rocket Radar, 1 Poffin, 3 Sinnoh Stone.
Step Six:
- Earn a Gold Sinnoh Medal - 1 Rare Candy
- Reach Level 40 - 1 Rare Candy
- Defeat a Team GO Rocket Leader 3 times - 1 Rare Candy
Rewards: 4920 XP, 4920 Stardust, Shiny Shaymin Encounter.

- Claim Reward - 10 Shaymin Candy
- Claim Reward - 10 Shaymin Candy
