Take on Mega Lopunny in Pokémon GO with our Raid Guide,

Mega Lopunny is finally coming back to Pokémon GO Mega Raids, having not featured since all the way back in April 2023. You can take on Mega Lopunny in Raids from January 4 until January 16.

Mega Lopunny is a useful Mega Pokémon to have in your Pokémon GO collection, being a very rare Normal-type and Fighting-type. It is a decent Raid Attacker, but also provides unique coverage when you are looking for those Mega Level 3 bonuses. This can help you maximise bonuses during events.

So, you absolutely want some Mega Lopunny energy. Here's what you need to know before you take on this Mega Raid.

Best Mega Lopunny counters in Pokémon GO:

Mega Lopunny has a weakness to Fairy, Fighting, Flying and Psychic-type attacks in Pokémon GO. It has a double resistance to Ghost-type attacks, and a resistance also to Bug, Dark and Rock-type attacks.

Here are the best Mega Lopunny counters in Pokémon GO:

There are lots of great counters for Mega Lopunny in Pokémon GO. The best by far is Mega Rayquaza. It's unique Flying-type move, Dragon Ascent, is one of the most powerful attacks in the entirety of Pokémon GO and makes light work of this Raid. In addition, non Mega Rayquaza is also a very powerful counter.

Besides that, Mewtwo as a very good Psychic-type is well worth using too. Even better if you have a high CP Shadow Mewtwo from either Giovanni or the Shadow Raid Weekend back in early 2024.

Also featuring on the list is Lunala, you probably fused your Lunala (if you had one) with Necrozma after Necrozma Raid Day. Luckily, both Dusk Mane and Dawn Wings Necrozma feature as Mega Lopunny counters too.
