You’ll need Solar and Lunar Fusion Energy to get Dusk Mane or Dawn Wings Necrozma.
Pokémon GO Fest Global will bring the worldwide rollout of the two Fusion forms of Necrozma. To Fuse Necrozma with either Solgaleo or Lunala in Pokémon GO you will need either 1000 Solar Fusion Energy or 1000 Lunar Fusion Energy. In addition, you'll need 30 Cosmog Candy and 30 Necrozma Candy.
This is a brand new resource in Pokémon GO, so unless you went to GO Fest Madrid, Sendai or New York you will need to gather Fusion Energy before you can obtain these two powerful Pokémon.
Here is how you can get Fusion Energy in Pokémon GO.

How do you get Fusion Energy in Pokémon GO?
There are currently three ways to get Solar Fusion Energy and Lunar Fusion Energy in Pokémon GO:
- Redeem the four Pokémon GO Promo Codes that award Fusion Energy.
- Complete the research quest that is part of the paid Pokémon GO Fest: Global Ticket, on the second day of the event (July 14). This will let you pick between either a Solar or Lunar path.
- Take on either Dusk Mane Necrozma or Dawn Wings Necrozma in Raids. These two Necrozma Fusion forms will be in Raids on the second day of Pokémon GO Fest: Global.
Anyone with the Paid GO Fest Global ticket will get enough Fusion Energy to fuse one of the two forms of Necrozma. This branching research has two paths. One leads to an encounter with Solgaleo and 1000 Solar Fusion Energy. The other to an encounter with Lunala and 1000 Lunar Fusion Energy.
However, both of these Pokémon are very powerful and you ideally want both of them in your collection. So, make sure you redeem the four free Pokémon GO Promo codes that Niantic released. This will grant you 200 Solar Fusion Energy and 200 Lunar Fusion Energy.
Then, take on Dawn Wings Necrozma and Dusk Mane Necrozma in Raids. Beating these Pokémon GO Raids will grant you Fusion Energy, the same way Mega Energy works.
Between all these methods, you should be able to get both Necrozma Fusion forms in Pokémon GO.
