Fairy-types rejoice!

Guzzlord is one of the Ultra Beast Pokémon returning to Pokémon GO during Pokémon GO Fest. Guzzlord will be avaliable at the in-person and Global GO Fest events this summer.

Additionally, Shiny Guzzlord will be avaliable to all Trainers, including those who don't have event tickets and get invited remotely.

Guzzlord is a solid Dark-type Pokémon, with a really nice looking Shiny. It is well worth your time raiding for as part of all the GO Fest action this summer.

Here is everything you need to know to take on Guzzlord in Pokémon GO.

Best Guzzlord counters in Pokémon GO:

Guzzlord is a Dark and Dragon-type, meaning it has a 2x weakness to Fairy-types. It also has weakness to Bug, Dragon, Fighting and Ice-type Pokémon. It has a 2x resistance to Psychic-type Attacks, as well as single resistances to Dark, Electric, Fire, Ghost, Grass and Water-types.

Any Pokémon with a 2x weakness in Pokémon GO is always an easy one to exploit. That means pretty much all of our best Guzzlord counters are going to be Fairy-types.

Fairy-types are absolutely your best friend and there are lots to pick from in Pokémon GO, which makes getting a team to take on Guzzlord pretty simple.

The Tapu's, who have all recently been in Pokémon GO Raids with their new super powerful Natures Madness move are all solid choices. Pokémon like Togekiss are also readily avaliable, with Togepi in the current Egg rotation.

Mega Gardevoir is by far the strongest choice if you want to take Guzzlord down as fast as possible. Mega Rayquaza is also a powerful choice but be warned. Mega Rayquaza is weak to Dragon-type moves, meaning some Guzzlords could take it down very quickly.
