The Just My Cup of Tea event in Pokémon GO has brought the Black Tea Pokémon, Sinistea into the game. However, Sinistea isn't your standard Pokémon. There are actually two forms of Sinistea, a Phony form and an Antique Form coming to Pokémon GO.
These look almost identical, with the only way to tell between the two in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet being to check the bottom of Sinistea to see what stamp it has.

Thankfully, it will be a little bit easier to check if you have Antique or Phony form Sinistea in Pokémon GO than in Scarlet and Violet.
If you appraise the stats/IVs of your Sinistea (or evolved Polteageist) your team leader will indicate to you if you have the Phony form or Antique form of the Pokémon. This will let you know how to distinguish between the two.
There are no visual differences between the two forms of the Pokémon, additionally there are no statistical differences either. However, there is one thing that separates the two Pokémon.
To evolve Phony form Sinistea into Polteageist you will need 50 candy. But, if this is the Antique form of Sinistea you will need a huge 400 candy.
How can I get the Antique form of Sinistea in Pokémon GO?
During the event, there are a few ways to get Sinistea in Pokémon GO. Despite this, there is no way to specifically see or target which form you are getting. It is a small, and random, chance that you will get the rarer Antique form after you finish a Raid or get an encounter through Research and Collection Challenges.
