Do bent packs actually make a difference in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Pokémon TCG Pocket is a new card-collecting game where players can collect, and battle with, iconic Pokémon cards. In this game, players open packs, which they can choose from a carousel of different packs, giving them their cards. Pokémon TCG Pocket players have discovered that these packs can be bent, and have theorized about what these packs mean in terms of the rarity of the cards contained. Or, is it all just rumors started by the community?

Bent packs can be identified when turning packs to the side in Pokémon TCG Pocket and will appear with a slightly bent top corner. However, not all instances of opening a pack will provide a bent pack. Below you can see the difference between a normal pack and a bent pack.
As far as the rarity of bent packs, right now there is nothing to suggest that they provide any higher likelihood of rare cards than other packs do. Many in the community have done extensive tests into the probability of these packs providing a guaranteed rare, or at least a better chance for one, and none have found it to be the case. Or, if it was a difference, it was only marginal.
But, just the fact that this game has things like bent packs and god packs adds a lot of fun and unpredictability for players. This is much of the same feeling when opening packs in real life, and the things wrapped up in that like looking for heavy packs.
