Zap your opponent’s cards and take advantage of Pokémon Tools with this Pachirisu ex deck.

Playing a Pachirisu ex deck in Pokémon TCG Pocket is one of the most efficient ways of maximizing the usage of Pokémon Tools from the Space-Time Smackdown set.

If you’re having trouble against Water-type decks in Versus and Solo modes, Pachirisu ex is an excellent off-meta deck that you should try if you’re sick of using the conventional Pikachu ex build.

Pachirisu ex’s offensive process pales in comparison with other mons in the game. But, when paired with a Pokémon Tool, this card can take out almost any Basic to Stage 1 Pokémon in a single turn.

Other cards can amplify Pachirisu ex apart from Pokémon Tools, and for this post, we’re going to share those cards with a unique Pachirisu ex deck build.

How to play Pachirisu ex deck in Pokémon TCG Pocket

The deck list above provides you with two choices: to start the game with a Pachirisu ex or an Electabuzz.

Playing Pachirisu ex as your first Active Pokémon is the better approach in the early game, as there's a good chance you'll also have at least one Pokémon Tool in your hand. As long as you’ve drawn a Pokémon Tool and a Pachirisu ex, always play them together to begin your turn.

Attach any Pokémon Tool to Pachirisu ex (preferably a Rocky Helmet) to trigger the effect of its move, Sparking Gadget. This move will deal 80 damage to your opponent’s Active Pokémon, plus an additional 20 damage if Pachirisu ex takes retaliatory damage on the next turn.

If your opponent has a Pokémon ex that relies on a lot of Energies, Pachirisu ex should be able to take care of them before they can hit back hard.

While you let your Pachirisu ex do the dirty work, you can power up your Electabuzz with Electric Energy until it has four Energies attached to it. Once it evolves into an Electivire, you can use it to finish the game in case your Pachirisu ex has a low health or gets Knocked Out.

Other notable cards in the deck

Pachirisu ex and Electivire don’t have enough firepower to close games in the later turns, so the following cards are also added to the deck to increase their potency:

Cyrus

With Cyrus and Electabuzz, you can score some pick-offs on any of your opponent’s Benched Pokémon. When playing these cards, focus on taking out those squishy Basics that can evolve into powerful Pokémon like Ralts, Charmander, Misdreavus, and Magikarp.

Giant Cape, Rocky Helmet, and Lum Berry

Pachirisu ex can only do a significant amount of damage with a Pokémon Tool attached to it, so having as many as five Pokémon Tools in a deck maximizes the odds of drawing one at any part of a game.

Rocky Helmet is the most viable Pokémon Tool for Pachirisu ex, as it increases its damage output. However, Giant Cape and Lum Berry can work as well with Pachirisu ex, especially if you can’t get a Rocky Helmet early on.

X Speed and Giovanni

A couple of X Speed allow you to switch your low-health Pachirisu ex or if you want to use your four-Energy Electivire from the Bench. A copy of Giovanni is also in the deck to give you a bit of extra damage when you don’t need to use your Cyrus in a particular turn.

Strong against

Pachirisu ex can overwhelm any off-meta decks that are weak against Electric types, like Lapras ex and Greninja decks.

Weak against

Ground/Fighting decks can shut down Pachirisu ex and Electabuzz because of the type disadvantage. Also, if you don’t have Cyrus in your hand, you might allow your opponent enough turns to set up their main Pokémon cards.
