Pokémon cards in the Moltres EX deck

To begin a breakdown of this deck, we first need to talk about all the actual Pokémon included and why. Obviously, we included two Moltres EX cards. While Moltres's main attack only does 70 damage, its ability is crucial.

Inferno Dance, which only costs one Fire Energy, lets you flip three coins. For each heads, you get to attach a Fire Energy to Pokémon on your Bench in any way you would like.

We also included two Growlithes and two Arcanine EX. Arcanine EX is technically the heavy hitter in this deck, but with Moltres EX's Inferno Dance, Arcanine gets set up to use its Inferno Onrush almost immediately after playing it.

We also included two Magmar cards, which will work well with the Supporter card, Blaine.

All Trainer cards in the Moltres EX deck

Every Pokémon deck needs a plethora of Trainer cards. In our Moltres EX deck build, we included 12 Trainer cards to help players utilize this deck to its full potential.

First, we included Blaine, which boosts the attack of either your Arcanine EX or Magmar by 30. This is a great card to help ensure your opponent's Pokémon goes down.

Sabrina is another must-have, as this Supporter card allows players to switch their opponent's Active Pokémon with a Benched Pokémon — your opponent gets to choose, however.

Then, to top everything off, we included the popular Professor's Research, Poké Ball, X Speed, and Potion.

Weakness

This deck is especially weak to Water-type decks, so be weary when facing Blastoise, Starmie EX, or other Water-type decks.

Strength

This deck excels against Grass-type decks and is perfect for going up against a Venusaur EX deck.
