Mewtwo EX deck build in Pokémon TCG Pocket

It should come as no surprise that Mewtwo EX is one of the strongest cards in Pokémon TCG Pocket. With 150 HP, this Pokémon's Psydrive move does 150 damage to any Pokémon that stands in its way.

But what if I told you there were ways to build a deck around Mewtwo EX that would make it even more OP?

Pokémon cards in deck

Obviously, when creating a deck, you will need actual Pokémon cards in it. The Mewtwo deck we have created has 10 Pokémon cards and 10 Trainer cards.

The deck is centered around Mewtwo EX, as the build focuses on stacking the Legendary Pokémon with Energy as fast as possible.

Mewtwo EX's Psydrive might do 150 damage, but it discards two after each use. This means that players will want as many Psychic-type Energies on the Pokémon as possible.

Having a Gardevoir or two on your bench is essential, as the Pokémon's Psy Shadow ability lets you add an additional Energy to the Pokémon in your Active spot. This will put your Mewtwo EX in a position to dominate.

We also included two Meowths in this deck, as his one move lets you draw a card, helping you get closer to your goal of playing that Mewtwo EX.

Trainer cards in deck

Trainer cards are also essential for Pokémon decks, and this Mewtwo EX deck heavily relies on them.

First off, we included eight very stereotypical Trainer cards, including two Poké Balls, two Potions, two Professor's Research and two X Speeds. These cards are meant to help you get your Gardevoir evolution line on the field as fast as possible while quickly adding Mewtwo EX to your hand.

Now, let's talk about the final Trainer card: Sabrina.

Sabrina is essential to this deck as it allows players to switch their opponent's Active Pokémon with a Benched Pokémon. To play this card right, you should use it unexpectedly to catch your opponent off guard.

Say you're facing someone else's Mewtwo EX. Use Sabrina to make them swap Pokémon and not have to deal with it right away.

Overall, this Mewtwo EX deck should absolutely dominate when battling other players.
