Mythical Island: Best cards to pull in the new Pokémon TCG Pocket pack
Have you been exploring the new Mythical Island pack in Pokémon TCG Pocket? The game's first themed expansion has already become wildly popular amongst players, bringing back quite a few people to the game.
With a plethora of new cards to pull, only a few could be considered the best. Here is our list of the best Pokémon cards to pull in the new Mythical Island booster pack.
Mew EX
It should be quite obvious that this list will include Mew EX, as it is the cover Pokémon on the pack. While EX cards in general are rare and unusually strong, the Mew EX card transcends quite a few other EX cards because of one of its moves.
Genome Hacking, which takes three energies of any type, allows players to choose one of their opponent's attacks and use it as their own. Sounds too good to be true, right? This means that cards with attacks that require them to detach energy after each use will work with Mew EX, except it wont have to detach any energies.
This attack is incredibly powerful and simply makes Mew EX one of the best cards to pull right now.
Serperior
Serperior is the golden ticket for anyone running a grass-type deck. This Pokémon makes each grass-type energy worth two energies instead of one. And yes, this applies to EVERY Pokémon on your field.
If you keep Serperior alive in your Bench, this effect will stay standing, making cards like Celebi EX incredibly powerful.
Oh, did we say Celebi EX? Great segue.
Celebi EX
Celebi EX stands to be one of the most powerful cards in the game, especially if used correctly with a Serperior on the Bench. Its main move, Powerful Bloom, only requires two energies and allows players to flip a coin for each energy attached to the card. For each heads, this card does 50 damage.
Now imagine having three or four energies attached to Celebi EX and Serperior's effect running rampant on the Bench. This gives players the opportunity to flip an unlimited number of coins, making Celebi EX incredibly powerful.
If you are looking for a rare and powerful card to pull in Pokémon TCG Pocket's Mythical Island, Celebi EX is it.

Vaporeon
Vaporeon being one of the best cards to pull in the new Mythical Island booster pack is probably a surprise to many, but its ability makes it superior to many other cards.
When on the field, Bench or Active, Vaporeon's ability lets you detach a Water Energy from any Pokémon on your Bench, attaching it to whatever Active Pokémon you have on the field.
This is an amazing way to stack your Active Pokémon with Energies, which could help in various ways.
Gyarados EX
Gyarados EX's strength goes hand-in-hand with Vaporeon's ability. The Pokémon's main attack requires four Energies and loses one with each use (while also detaching an Energy from EVERY Pokémon on the field), but it also does 140 damage, making it incredibly OP.
Having Vaporeon on your Bench with Gyarados EX as your Active Pokémon is an elite play, as it always keeps the monster geared up and ready to battle.
Aerodactyl EX
The final card on our list of the best cards to pull in the Mythical Island Pokémon TCG Pocket pack is Aerodactyl EX. The infamous Fossil Card was nothing to turn heads for back in the original three packs, but its EX variation is quite strong.
Not only does Aerodactly EX only require two Energies to perform an attack that does 80 damage, but it also has an incredibly unique ability. When on the field, your opponent cannot evolve their Active Pokémon.
This stops players from putting powerful Pokémon on the field, keeping you at an advantage the entire battle.
So, have you pulled any of these cards in the new Mythical Island pack?
