Overwatch Season 5 supports tier-list
This breakdown of the best Overwatch 2 Season 5 supports is based on a few metrics. This includes an overall decision on what Hero is the best in any overall situation, as well as what best fits in the meta as of June 2023. While everyone may not agree on these choices, it should at least help players make their own decisions on what works best in the current metagame.
This list will be updated upon the midseason patch.
S+ tier supports
Ever constant, the three top Overwatch Season 5 supports remain vigilantly on top. Ana, Zenyatta, and Kiriko represent the best of what utility is offered from the support line. Ana continues to be a powerful healer in regards to pure numbers while also having some of the best utility. Zenyatta is the number one tank buster and an absolute requirement while also having one of the best Ultimates in the game. Meanwhile, Kiriko's cleanse and Kitsune Rush make her invaluable.
ANA

A-tier supports
The new boy on the block moves up the charts! Lifeweaver received a number of buffs in the Season 5 patch. Now sporting higher raw numbers and even better utility, we believe he'll be a force in the upcoming season. Meanwhile, the rest of the A-tier either fell to this spot or maintained because of the ongoing threat that is Mei. her buffs are a direct counter to Lucio, Mercy, and Brig--in the case of Brig it's a nerf if she cannot consistently land Whip Spots.
However, many Mercys should rest easy knowing that Widowmaker's prevalence will be greatly reduced this season.

Overwatch Season 4 supports, B-tier
We'll be quick and to the point with this one. Moira's newfound inability to escape traps after the new nerf to her Fade bumps her down the line. Still an effective raw-damage healer, but her survivability in certain situations is now null.
Also, consider this punishment for all you DPS Moiras out there. YOU KNOW YOU WHO ARE.
MOIRA
Best situations: Countering Tracer, Genji; Big healing numbers while also dealing damage
Countered by: Ana, Sombra, the Player controlling Moira that's trying to frontline
Pairs well with: Shield tanks
