Here is our Overwatch 2 Season 18 countdown. Similar to previous seasons, if you play the game on PC, you'll likely be able to pre-download the update ahead of time. A pre-download typically arrives a few days before the start of a new season. You can check if you have that option by opening the Battle.net launcher and seeing if there's any text that reads "Pre-release content download" located below the "Play" button.
When is Overwatch 2 Season 18 coming out?
The new season of Overwatch 2 will arrive on Aug. 26. The exact time will depend on your location due to time zones. Based on our experience with previous seasons, the Overwatch 2 Season 18 release time will likely be at 11 a.m. PT.

Overwatch 2 Wuyang release date
The next season of the game will arrive with Wuyang as a playable hero. He'll be a support hero who uses water to heal and deal damage. Wuyang will also be able to do some crowd control (CC) with his Guardian Wave ability.
The table below goes into Wuyang's abilities, ultimate, perks, and so on. However, note that the details may change at the start of Overwatch 2 Season 18 due to player feedback from the recent playtest.

| Balance (Minor Perk) | When you deal damage with water orbs, increase Restorative Stream’s passive healing by 40% for 2 seconds. |
| Ebb and Flow (Major Perk) | Guardian Wave rewinds to its starting location. Deals 50% decreased damage while rewinding. |

Overwatch 2 Season 18 mythic skin
In terms of the next mythic hero skin in Overwatch 2, it will go to Sojourn. Ultraviolet Sentinel Sojourn will feature a base skin plus customizations such as a mask, new battle armor colors, and more. The Overwatch 2 Season 18 mythic skin will likely require 80 Mythic Prisms for both the base skin and the rest of the customizations. Based on our experience with previous mythics, just the base skin by itself will likely cost 50 Mythic Prisms.
