Oni Genji skin returns to Overwatch 2

When the Oni Genji skin was first introduced in the original Overwatch game, players flocked to Heroes of the Storm to unlock it, flooding general chat with game invites and constant messages about the coveted skin. Then, in 2024, it returned for a limited time and required an eligible purchase of $75 USD or more from the Blizzard Gear Store.

Now, Oni Genji is back again! This time around, until Dec. 8, the requirement to unlock it applies to items that are a part of the Blizzard Gear Store's Legendary Genji Oni collection. This collection features lots of adorable Overwatch 2 merchandise and, therefore, gift ideas.

Overwatch Busan Cow Youtooz Plush

The Busan Cow Plush makes it to our list of holiday Overwatch 2 gift ideas because of how iconic it is to players. In the game, the cow can be found in the Busan map, which is D.Va's hometown. Fans who love watching the Busan Cow dance know that it’s usually Reaper who gets it moving, too.

To do this, Shadow Step onto the top of the Busan Cow's building and attack its back left and right with Reaper's Hellfire Shotguns! You won't see its dance moves as Reaper yourself, but your teammates and even enemies sure can. It's quite adorable and hilarious.

Overwatch 2 Murphy Rescue Dog Plush

If your giftee loves Corgis like us, then the Murphy Rescue Dog Plush is the perfect present! Murphy is Sojourn's dog in Overwatch 2 and is featured in "Calling" animated short. In it, the Corgi yearns for the Canadian hero's croissant! Murphy also has a bunch of cute in-game sprays. Hanzo likes Murphy, too.

Did you know that Murphy is actually based off of a Corgi in real life? It's part of Stephen "JustAGuy" Georgiou's family! He is the father of Cora “Songbird” Georgiou and Sage Georgiou from the Hearthstone team. JustAGuy also worked with esports.gg on a special guest post about his life as a father of two talented game designers.

Overwatch 2 Kiriko Sling Bag

This year, Overwatch 2's esports circuit traveled all over the world! If you have someone in your life who loves to travel around to see what all the Overwatch Champion Series (OWCS) matches have to offer, then this Kiriko Sling Bag is both stylish and useful as a personal item for flights.

The Kiriko Sling Bag even has the support hero's iconic red color and her name in Japanese. We also think that the detail of the strap featuring Kiriko's kitsune emblem is a nice touch. It looks like a flower with nine petals, however, it represents the nine-tailed fox in Japanese folklore!

Secretlab Genji Chair

Secretlab's TITAN Evo collection includes a bunch of beloved Overwatch 2 heroes! These include lovingly-designed chairs for Kiriko, Tracer, D.Va, and Genji. There's also a version that just features the game's logo.

We at esports.gg can attest to the quality of the Genji edition. The embroidery detail of his dragon on the back of our chair is gorgeous. When we bought the chair, it also arrived with a giant Genji poster! We can also easily customize the chair through Razer's products like the Secretlab InfinitePrecision Armrest.

That's all for now. We hope you enjoyed our Overwatch 2 gift guide for 2025. Stick around on esports.gg for more Overwatch 2 news and updates!
