Crafting potions in Oblivion Remastered explained
If you played the original version, or a previous Elder Scrolls game crafting potions should feel pretty familiar.
First, and most importantly, you'll need to get your hands on a Mortar and Pestle. This is pretty easy to get and you can find it in the tutorial area at the start of the game. You can get a better quality Mortar and Pestle later in the game but the novice one will do fine to get started.
Then, you'll need ingredients. Each ingredient avaliable in the game has four effects. You'll learn more about specific ingredients as you level up your alchemy skill. This can make potions a bit tricky early on, as you'll have limited knowledge about ingredients and what they can do.
To actually craft the potion, you'll head into your inventory. From there, click on the Mortar and Pestle we mentioned earlier. This will open the games alchemy menu. You'll see all the ingredients you have avaliable, and can click on them to add them to the pot.
When your combination of ingredients makes a valid potion, the Mortar and Pestle will light up. Once it's lit, click that and boom, you've made the first of many potions in Oblivion Remastered.
Remember, you'll gain more knowledge and ingredients as you progress through the game. It might take some trial and error to find the right potion recipes without prior knowledge.
