The upcoming Hanzo revamp in MLBB is set to arrive soon – ready to devour the competition in both ranked and pro play.

For years, Hanzo has been a niche pick in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) but he’s finally receiving a revamp. The upcoming hero revamp was leaked from the advanced server, but it was not until recently that developers MOONTON Games announced its release date.

Hanzo is a unique hero who can easily clear jungle camps in the early game. Additionally, his Ultimate gives him so much safe space through a summon. The only downside is that he is slowly dragged closer to his summon and gets stunned for a long time if the summon is killed.

In short, Hanzo has a high-risk-high-reward kit that punishes you hard for making a mistake. But the upcoming Hanzo revamp in MLBB looks to balance him which can potentially drag him back to the meta.

Let’s take a look at the new and improved Hanzo revamp in MLBB and compare it to the current version before the update arrives.

Here‘s a quick dive into his new abilities and what changes were made:

Passive - Ame no Habakiri

  • Any damage you deal marks the enemy.
  • This can stack up to five times.
  • Each stack will increase the damage of Hanzo’s first skill.

The pre-revamp version simply collects Demon Blood for each unit killed near him. This is used to fuel his Ultimate ability, making it last longer. This is a small but significant change as the Passive from the Hanzo revamp now stacks up damage that can be used for both jungle creeps and enemy heroes in MLBB.

First Skill - Ninjutsu: Demon Feast

  • Deals damage to heroes and minions.
  • Gets more powerful when the Passive ability is at full stack.
  • Consumes jungle creeps when Passive is at full stack.
  • Hanakage Form: Grants healing when dealing damage to enemy heroes.

The pre-revamp version requires Hanzo to do five basic attacks to use his first skill. To make things more limiting for this hero, this skill can only be used on minions and jungle creeps. Now, both creeps and enemy heroes can be targeted, and his human and demon forms have bonus effects.

Second Skill - Ninjutsu Dark Mist

  • Dashes forward, leaving a trail that continuously slows and deals damage to enemies within the area.
  • Hanzo gains bonus movement speed while on the trail.
  • Hanakage Form: Dashes forward and knocks enemies in the path airborne.

The upcoming Hanzo revamp now has two options for crowd control. In human form, he can deal continuous damage while slowing enemies within the area of effect. In Demon form, he can knock enemies up. The pre-revamp version might deal more damage but it can only slow enemies.

Ultimate - Kinjutsu: Pinnacle Ninja

  • Hanzo transforms into Hanekage, gaining bonus attack speed and making his original body untargetable.
  • He can pass through walls while in demon form.
  • If Hanzo dies while Hanekage is active, he instantly returns to his body gains immunity for a brief period, and restores a portion of his health.
  • Once the energy runs out, Hanzo’s real body teleports to the location of Hanekage.

Hanzo's revamped ultimate in MLBB remains a high-risk, high-reward ability, but it now comes with new effects that enhance his survivability. Instead of being stunned upon dying in demon form, he now becomes immune to damage, preventing him from becoming a sitting duck when his demon form is eliminated.

However, the risk factor is still there. When his Demon Blood depletes, Hanzo’s real body is teleported to his Hanekage’s location. This can make or break your combo, especially if you’re caught off guard and return to human form in the middle of an ambush. Keeping a close eye on your Demon Blood bar is crucial.
